2 seconds won't hurt me???

2 Seconds....every hour for 8 hours as I go from class to class. 16 seconds a day. I will leave the rest to you. Over a year I will probably end up smoking a couple packs. ALL BECAUSE OF YOU. I choose not to smoke but you are forcing me to by smoking outside the freakin door.

I wonder how much they will end up taxing cigerates before more people quit do to cost. ok this thread has been beaten to death, 8ball won't change his mind on smoking. Unless it gets cancer from it ( not that I wish that). But since it is private property, and the employer is looking for the best interest of the majority of employees in this case. 8ball, has much has you do not like the fact you have to stand 50 feet from the building, you really have no choice but to obide by the rules of your employer.

There was some taxation thing done in my area and the conclusion was that raising taxes on cigarettes massively decreased their consumption...then the taxes were cut back (not sure why) and suddenly smoking went up hugely the following year again...

Of course - do you want me to care about somebody who thinks they should smoke in front of me?

Hmmm... It is your employer's property. That gives them the right to dictate when and where you can smoke, until you LEAVE their property. What if they have a prospective customer coming to meet them, and when they get there they are greeted with a fog of nicotine and tar? What if they do not smoke, and that haze offends them?

I think they should outlaw those damn perfume gauntlets that every major department store seems to put RIGHT AT the entrance to their store. If anything was ever hard to breath...
