No, other than this.

I was homeschooled from sixth grade on and I could be a little brat when it came to doing my homework a lot of the time. Sometimes I would frustrate my mom so much that she'd start telling me, "If you don't do your work, you're going to work at McDonald's the rest of your life! Do you want to do that?"

That scared the living daylights out of me. I did my my homework though! It's the closest my parents ever came to disparaging me.

the ironic thing is, homeschooling if not done right, could actually lead to you working in McDonalds regardless.

certainly thats where i see these kids subjected to biblical parenting and their home schooling ideas going. having an understanding of the bible and family values and then having no certificate to prove it isnt going to get you very far at all.

that tv program the other night, one girl said she didnt want to persue a career and just wanted a family. her and her bf had such namby pamby education that i really dont know how they expect to raise a family.

I was made fun of a lot when I was younger. As one example, I remember I got "4-eyes" constantly when I was younger for no reason other than it was my dad's stupid way of making a joke in order to bond with my younger brother. It sounds dumb now, but when I was 10 it seemed more hurtful.

As I kid I remember hearing "You're too sensitive" more than any other phrase. Of course, when I became a rebellious teenager and started firing back I was labeled a jerk. I remember one time my mother saying word-for-word "You really are an a$$hole" while being entirely serious. At that point, I probably was because I don't remember being upset about that at all.

My dad has said a few really hurtful things in the past, but he didn't make a habit out of it, plus he has changed a lot over the years.
