Hopefully though supposedly we get stupid zombie dogs and probably not as many minions. And I want to play a necromancer, not some witch doctor with a crappy Jamaican accent. :|

Plus the armor and look of the Witch Doctor is just not that good.

Played Diablo 1 on the PlayStation and Torchlight on the PC. I'll skip D3 and wait for Torchlight 2 if for one reason only: I like to play these types of games with a controller, not mouse+kb.

I dont know but, those games were ported over from PC. Id definitely agree, playing without a keyboard and mouse would be full retard. Those type of games are for PC, not consoles heh. You must be one of the only people who attempt them on a game console...

this week i was going to buy a AMD Phenom II 940T Black Edition w/mobo for $100 total. (can be unlocked to 6cores + 3.5ghz on stock hsf.)

but will wait till the beginning of may to see if i can snag a better bang/buck deal.

only upgrading my 3yr old system because of Diablo III.

Just because you say that to your wife, doesn't mean you need to bring that crap around here.

The isometric third-person perspective lends itself to precise movement with an analog stick. Unlike using the mouse to control the character, you can instantly aim in milliseconds at any angle with the controller.

I've played with both methods extensively, and while the m+kb is superior when it comes to access to hot keys and spot aiming AoE spells, general movement is best done with a controller.

I am not a PC vs. console crusader since I like both platforms equally. For instance, I never play online FPS games with a pad because obviously the m+kb is light years better (I'll play exclusive console shooters in solo mode however).

In each genre I prefer whichever is the better control option is available. Since Torchlight 2 will use the pad because the method was VERY well received on XBLA (even by PC gamers), I'll avoid Diablo 3 until it comes to console as rumored or adds pad support on PC.

Eliminate the middlemen cost my ass. But then again too many gamers out there who are corporate tools and enjoys getting throwing money at them at every corner and are proud of it.

PS1 Diablo was real well done. It was nice because two could sit on the couch and play. Lack of a mouse wasn't an issue.

I just hope that they do whatever the hell is necessary in game mechanics that it would be impossible to kill elite mobs/bosses with the exact same mouse movements and keystrokes so as to make botting more difficult. Bots and duping ruined D2 economy I would hate it if cheats will do the same for D3.
