I would pre-order, but I don't want a digi copy. I want the real deal.
It doesnt matter. So long as you have a code you can always download and activate it.
Not to mention you have to be online to install and play, even single player.
Yup, ever since they went Activision, Blizzard has become retarded about DRM. From SC2 onward, you need an always active connection to play their games.
Oh, and there wont be LAN. You either play online or go alone.
Does Battlenet delete your characters like D2?
After playing the beta, I think I will wait until price is ~$20.
This. D3 will not be as addicting as D2 was, especially if the beta was any indication. I might get it eventually and play through the story at least. Constantly farming and min/maxing a character doesn't really appeal to me in this game (especially since PVP won't be in until a future patch).Yup, same. For a while I didn't really care much about D3. I played D2 a ton and loved it, but don't really feel like playing an updated version of that game, which is what D3 sounds like to me.
I got into the beta and played a couple hours of it. Initially it was pretty cool, but I quickly lost interest and didn't even care to finish the beta.
It's definitely a great game, but I don't think it's something I'm interested in anymore (FYI I'm 29, since we seem to be listing off our age here..![]()
I might get it 6 months or more after release when i have more time, but no preorder for me. It's also coming out the week I get married, so pretty sure that wouldn't work anyway![]()
Torchlight 2 will NOT be a better game than Diablo 3.
It might be a better deal for the money.
Two things, it might not be better for YOU and you can't know this for certain as both games are not complete.Torchlight 2 will NOT be a better game than Diablo 3.

One of the mini-games my friends and i have made over the years is: loot first kill second. So we might have a horde of monsters swarming us and see an epic drop and immediately stop trying to kill the horde in order to grab the loot. It can make for some pretty damn fun moments
from what i hear, D3 has implemented loot tables for each player, so that you can only pick up what drops specifically for you. meaning, no mini-game for us which is quite a bummer :|
at this point, i plan on waiting for either 'real' reviews or til it is around the 10-15$ range (which would mean 10yrs from now).
Never got a chance to play Diablo 1 or 2. I think im in on the pre order.
That's gonna take a good long while. SC2 is still waiting for it's first expansion, and the second one is planned. Meaning a "battle chest" thing is years away. SC2 was $30 directly from blizzard around Halloween, that was a really good offer.
Nothing to worry about. In fact I'd imagine people like us (33 here) are exactly the prime target for D III, since there must be quite a lot of us that were addicted to D I+II back in the days.34 here, most anticipated game release ever for me. I think you're good

Played Diablo 1 on the PlayStation and Torchlight on the PC. I'll skip D3 and wait for Torchlight 2 if for one reason only: I like to play these types of games with a controller, not mouse+kb.
