Is $59.99 the full normal no discount price?

I've already marked my calendar, NO DIABLO III, until I have projects due in middle of June completed.

Being released the month before school ends, makes me wonder how much this will hit nerd gpa's.

Is it bad that I am 32 years old and still looking forward to playing Diablo3? lol.

Its funny when I see people have to seriously contemplate what they have going on in their life on a release day so they can figure out how to manipulate their schedule around a video game. :p I have a feeling the game is going to ruin many peoples lives for a while. I suppose no different than maybe WoW does already though(never played that game personally).

You kidding me? I'm more than a decade older and I am looking forward to this!

I think I can hold off until a full review is done. Still in the very MEH area after reading everything about it.

paying full price for something that will easily be available anywhere doesn't quite seem hot deal material.

I dont have a problem with a mod removing it if he deems it unworthy. Technically it isnt really a "hot-deal".

I just hope they dont ruin the game. Diablo1/2 were lots of fun. Have to remember, the Blizzard of today is not the same Blizzard who created those previous games. :p

the big question is whether or not there is any significant difference in the game. I really didn't see any huge difference between starcraft 1 and 2. I suppose if its not broke don't fix it. I just think it would be nice for them to evolve more instead of that evolution being in graphics and not really gameplay so much. I am not a fan boy by any means and I played starcraft and diablo 2. Its just disappointing when there really aren't any major fundamental differences with regards to the quality of game play and evolving the product.

I will wait until they release a Battle Chest.
I've never bought a standalone Blizzard game and I likely never will.
WarCraft II: Battle Chest, StarCraft: Battle Chest, Diablo II: Battle Chest, WarCraft III: Battle Chest...

I'm still waiting for StarCraft II, and now Diablo III.

That's gonna take a good long while. SC2 is still waiting for it's first expansion, and the second one is planned. Meaning a "battle chest" thing is years away. SC2 was $30 directly from blizzard around Halloween, that was a really good offer.

The price of the game is nothing compared to cost of endless hours grinding up levels etc.

The first couple weeks everybody is new, nobody is walking around untouchable in $100 of ebay purchases, later on people grinding and power leveling secondary characters, just not the same.

Overall it could be a good month or two before any consensus arises on the game sucking or not.

D2 has gone down the toilet, spam bots flood public games with full screens of spam, and 90% of games are bots doing runs.

SC-->SC2 was a game evolution. its not the same game, but its very very very close.

Don't mess with the formula when it works.

Most of the time you get two things
(a) They mess with the formula. People then bitch 'WHY DIDN'T THEY JUST GIVE US THE SAME GAME WITH BETTER GRAPHICS'
(b) They keep it the same. People then complain that its better graphics, but the game really didn't improve, and that the game play doesn't hold up to today's games well..

SC2 was executed perfectly in that
(a) Graphics improved absolu-fucking-tastically. No one will say that the game doesn't look better
(b) There are a lot of little difference micro changes and improvement to help stream line the game

The result is a game that is truly evolutionary, but because it kept pace with unique ideas of the time, we THINK its the same game as before.

But its not. And that is what makes SC2 so

I hope D3 can be similar

I don't have the time(or desire) to pour hours and hours into a video game like I did when I was younger with D2. I'm not sure D2 would have been quite as much fun in limited doses, so I'm not sure how D3 will be. I want that same experience but it's almost definitely not going to be the same. I doubt I'll play it that much but who knows :/

When you play Diablo, you better forget school. School does not exist. School is irrelevant. It is heresy to even mention it.

Oh and for the same money, I am definitely pre-ordering the boxed version. I will parade this thing on top of my table to myself and get giddy with excitement every time I see it.

Yes, I will probably not get the same experience now as opposed to back when I played D2. I was 17 back then, and I am 30 now, but who cares.. This is EPIC. This is DIABLO III. Maybe.. Maybe for just a few minutes I'll feel like I am 17 again.

And best of all, I get to play it before we all die on December 21, 2012. I was afraid they wouldnt release it in time, but they clearly thought about this too, so they even gave us 7 months to play it! ; ) Yay!
