That's all it takes in Flori-DUH now. One idiot parent complains and the entire state bans whatever they were nonsensically complaining about. No pushback unless they complained about material on Robert E. Lee or Andrew Jackson, etc.

The laws were purposefully made so vague it scares teachers into eliminating black people from history discussions because they could be held personally liable and lose their careers. This was the very point I was trying to make to @gothuevos but he disagreed.

He won't be satisfied until he can tell students when they can (and can't) use the restroom. He wants complete control of FL's educational system. And not just K-12, he'll grab control of any and all colleges if he's able as well.

Have to get an early start on that indoctrination and grooming, amirite?

The indoctrination has been going on for decades. I’d argue since the 50’s when “God” was added to various federal entities.

That is the ultimate goal of Republicans, whitewash slavery out of this country's history. They want to pretend it didn't happen and then they have their pretense to marginalize blacks out of any semblance of power unless they kowtow to the white man, ala Herschel Walker, Tim Scott and Clarence Thomas.
Like other heinous things thy do, starting to speak the quiet part out loud at least in Louisiana for now and coming to a state near you.
GOP Party officials in the state want Louisiana lawmakers to prohibit the study of racism at colleges and universities, claiming the "inglorious aspects" of American history are too divisive

I don't know about you guys but I'm just starting to get little hints and tiny inklings of information that maybe Ron DeSantis and other Republicans of his ilk, which is most of them, just maybe maybe won't respect institutions such as democracy in the future. Call me crazy boys!

The only rule that shit stain is trying to enforce is that he shall not be questioned or criticized. Dude is definitely suffering from a severe case of small man syndrome.

The things he's talking about in his press conference right now are going to end up with some severe litigation. They're going to war ...

Stand back and just take notice of how republicans in every one of the republican controlled states have orchestrated together. Talk about an insurrection. We have an orchestrated insurrection in every single state ran by republicans to force their extremist right wing anti trans anti book anti democracy agenda. Every republican state have been following the same playbook to thwart the will of the people. Its amazing!!! The only thing saving the country from complete takeover are those states still ran by democrats, and the number of those democrat controlled states are shrinking.

Republicans have always pushed for "state rights" like a parrot, however now republicans are trying to gain control in all 50 states to force their agenda nation wide. To use the power of state agenda thus force a national agenda. If those republican states can duplicate that radical republican agenda in all 50 states then we have the ending result as national agenda. The unity of state agenda to achieve the national agenda. Pretty slick hey?
Think of it as a father with three sons, and this father owns a business. The father claims to support the independence of each individual son just as long as those three sons end up working for the family business.

They didn't just take it upon themselves to coordinate the anti-trans stuff, they had outside help taking that initiative (yes, I've already shared this in another thread):

Students take to the streets against Gov. Groomer. Hopefully this translates at the 2024 ballot box. A lot of these crowds will be 18. Warning: Pubs will look for ways to disenfranchise the youth vote. When the people are against your policies, rig the game.
