Beating bosses as a phantom doesn't work right? If so I only have the last boss left, so I guess it's a no go.

letting enemies kill me won't work?

beating a boss as a phantom should still work.

The first time i tried getting PBWT i let the enemies kill me and it didnt work for some reason. I don't know if I did it wrong or something but i just suicide now and that definitely works.

It works as Phantom. Suicide in Nexus, make sure you stay offline if you are going for PBWT though because world tendency shifts when online.

I meant a blue phantom... heh

And with PBWT, I got 4 pure greystones in under an hour. Yay! too bad chunk drop rate does not increase.

edit: Oh, just got Crushing great axe +5 v. Meat Cleaver with I think 32 Strength, 16 dex, 16 faith. Great axe does like 10 more.

Ya, most builds at some point seem to have about the same equalness in terms of pvp damage and speed in the end.

The strongest build is the hyper mage or hyper bow build. 1 well timed projectile = death.

Still true for melee. One well timed combo is death. firestorm can also just as easily kill. damage scales too quickly compared to hp. Also, given grasses, killing people quickly is the best bet.

tbh, I think bows interrupt rather easily. If you can get close, you're pretty good.

Thing I love about the great axe is it's pretty much impossible to interrupt my attack animation. And, I can change the direction of the swing very late into it, even not locked on by moving the camera and left analog stick.

I invaded, enchanted my wep, he cursed his katana. I hit him once while he cursed for a couple hundred, began attack animation again, he hit me once took 3/4 of my life, and then I killed him because he couldn't stop me from swinging. Best part of great axe by far. Love it when I come across a pole user. I had pure black tendency + cling ring, only like 534 hp so not much.

I hit the guy with enchant and crushing great axe for a good 540 dmg. 🙂. No, not as powerful nor as far reaching as DBS, but very good nonetheless with less weight, better moveset, and unstoppable action.

Hell, Morion Blade + clever rats ring on just about any melee build should also 1 hit. Arrow might be ranged, but arrow travel is easily dodged. I think more easy than melee.

I also liked the BBS build.

A 5 or 6 swing combo from a BBS build with light weapon will kill any opponent also, it keeps them in stunlock and deals out about a total of ~1500+? worth of HP in 6 hits.

It's different from Uchi, because you hvae to do the r1 + push + r1 spam and is not guaranteed unless they're in a corner.

With BBS you will combo them forever until they die before your whole stamina drains if you can do it right.

yeah, my friend has a blue blood build and its lethal. With light weapon it doesn't even take a full stamina bar to kill someone if he gets in.

Bumping a semi-old thread because I just picked this up. It took me 3-4 hours to get through the tutorial and to get my human form back. I was pretty frustrated through it all, BUT I always got to my blood stain and did get through it all eventually so I guess I started getting the hang of it. I died like 3-4 times, one of which was fucking stupid... there was one part where you can break this wooden crate to let boulders loose and kill a bunch of guys, and I didn't really think of how fast the boulders would come out. I was crushed by my own sprung trap ><

I started out as a Wanderer, following a BBS build guide. Thinking I should have went with Royal instead, but it's going well enough so w/e. I really don't like how you can't pause the game in any way, even when you're not 'online' but I suppose that's part of it all.

Jesus fucking christ... couldn't do a god damn thing with the wanderer so I made a new character as Royalty. MUCH easier starting out. Ended up breezing through 1-1 and getting past my progress in 4-1 from the last char without dying once. Then I died going for a shield. Took fucking forever but I got through enough of 4-1 to get some goodies and a decent chunk of souls.

I ended up losing my save switching HDDs because you can't fucking save to a USB... I guess I'll have to start over. At least I know enough about the game to get far enough without much trying now.

Yes, Royalty is easier starting out. Also, since the character is level 1, you get more choice in where to put your stats.

World 4 is my favorite world...simply because of all the soulsssssssss

World 1 is my favorite. Castles with soldiers and knights 😀.

4 is alright.

I abhor 3 and 5. They are just not fun. Not fun at all.

I was thinking about getting myself soulsucked and doing ilkar's faith build, but farming faintstones... fuck that.

SL 107 now, and doing alright with my crushing axe build. only problem is that my stats are not min/maxed because they are exactly what I used for my playthroughs.

edit: also, if anyone wants to dupe etc, I'm up for that. Need to dupe a ton of legendary hero souls so I can quickly level back after I get myself soulsucked after beating the game again.

World 4 is my favorite just because of all the souls you get while going through it, and because Adjudicator and Blind Hero are two of my favorite bosses.

World 1 is my second favorite. The setting is just great, plus 1-2 and 1-4 bosses are great.

World 3 and 5 have great atmospheres. World 3 scares the crap out of me. World 5 is difficult to play through, and has a lot of annoying parts, but the boss of 5-3 is one of my favorite bosses, atmosphere-wise.

World 2 is a bit bland, in my opinion.

Hey can anyone dupe me a DBS +5? That is possible no? I think you can dupe just about anything droppable.

You can dupe stuff? If so, it'd help out greatly if I could get anything BBS related. Either the BBS itself, or a pureblood DS. If anybody would help me out lmk either here, pm, or PSN. :awe:

I have a BBS i don't use. I could dupe you one. It's pretty easy. From what I understand. I join you as a Blue Phantom. I then drop my item and immediately quit the game or unplug my ps3. The item is not recorded as dropped and you get it.

You can do this with souls as well. Legendary hero souls are preferred. Drop them. quickly quit. Rejoin Pick them up. Have it save by dieing or something. Then drop and quickly quit. This way the number of souls will go more quickly if you only have a few. I only have like 2 legendary hero souls. they give 10000 souls each but only 3-4 in the entire game.

I think 99 souls is max so dupe to 99, it'll take a while, maybe an entire hour. Get yourself soulsucked and you can get back to your old level relatively quickly. Probably a good idea to dupe the legendary soldier's soul too.

edit: boss demon's souls are not droppable, and neither are colorless demon's souls so no, you can't dupe them. But you can dupe items, so if someone else upgrades something with colorless, he can dupe it to you.

Watch out, as if you trigger an autosave while quitting you can corrupt your save file.

If you wouldn't mind at some point trying to do that, that'd be awesome.

Hmmm... that would suck. I imagine just cutting power wouldn't trigger an autosave but also doesn't sound healthy to the console.

Duping. :\ 🙄 D:

I don't care in the slightest. Do you even PvP often in this game?

In regards to it saving, it shouldn't. Watch for the icon or your ps3 indicator. The game will save on specific actions. Dropping is not one of them so if you just drop it and quit using the quit game option in the ps3 menu, it will not corrupt your file.

It's been done for ages so it's really pretty safe.

I don't look down on the duping as it isn't like it makes the game a breeze. You can, albeit very hard, beat the game at level 1 from what I hear, so being level 150 doesn't make the mechanics of the game easier. It can help in PvP, but I can't confirm how much. I haven't put in a lot of time in this game, I think my character was around 35.

How could you play and not PvP? Its a constantly multiplayer game.

Plus, I've known people who have had their saves corrupted while trying to dupe, among other cheating techniques. I wouldn't just make up the possibility.

I don't cheat on multiplayer games out of respect. I don't usually cheat in singleplayer games either, but I don't really care what people do in single player games.

1. You can play in soul form or offline. Some people do do this.

And yes, it's possible, but unlikely, if you watch the save indicator on your ps3. I don't pull my cord, I just quit game with my psn button. It's how I quit game for every single one of my games.

Finally got my PS3 online long enough for some co-op. Layed down an soul sign in front of the 4-1 boss and we raped that guy. Got my body back without taking any damage 😛
