I dont need to look at the reviews! I own two of them and the 80-90C is a bug it runs around 60-75C second name a game other then FEAR, and no I dont have to account for the price difference, I spend my money on what I want. You wanted to compare it then you will get the damn compare. Dont start throwing bullshit out like Rollo and a few others on this forum. It no only makes you look retarded but also makes the forums less reliable
I'm hardly throwing "bullshit" out...you're just getting hyper.
Name other games? OK, lets dance: BF2, Doom3, Q4 previews, Far Cry, Splinter Cell....all those games that have always done better on nVidia, continue to do so.
As for money, it all comes down to what you're getting for the price. For many, they cannot afford a 500USD videocard. So, instead of spending 500USD on that XL, they can savve $100 and buy a GT, and get the same performance, or better. The difference between the two cards is not enough to warrant a $100 gap. When you have two cards with near equal performance, you damn well price them together, not $100 apart.
ATI was already late on this videocard release, by 6 months. They lost a good ammount of money there to nVidia's uncontested 7800GTX, and GT. Now that they have released, they hdon't have comparable pricing, and will continue to loose til they do.
Just because you have unlimited funds does not mean everyone does. When one compares videocards, you take into account everything....not just frames, but size, power consumption, heat (those two are directly linked) price, etc. The fact that the difference between the cards is around 10%, does not warrant a 28.5% increase in price, for the lesser performing card.
