For a b&m purchase, is there an actual coupon code, or do I just bring a printout of the big page that says "Spend $150 or more at OfficeMax.com and
we'll take $30 off your purchase!" in red letters with a box that says "Extra Savings! $30 off" on the side? Is this the only thing out there, or is there an actual code?

OK, went to my local store, and they didn't even have the flyer! Anyhow, I brought a flyer printed from the web in, and I got it, albiet it was a different SKU number than what has been mentioned here. Its the WD120G/8MCache, but the SKU was 710837104287. I had a $10 off $50 that was mailed to me, so my total was:

159.99 - 20IR - 10coupon -80MIRs + 8tax = $58. Still a good deal IMHO.

Not sure about the differences in the SKU though.

If anyone is in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota, they have some left at the Roseville location. They won't honor the website offer though, and only give 2mb models, even though he had an 8mb model right there.... Their manager was a bit of a jerk.

my local store didt give me the $20 ir. im not sure why. it rang up as $159.99 and they took a $30 printable staples coupon so it was $140.71 including tx out the door. that makes it $60.71 after rebates and im gunna track down an ad from the paper and try to bring it in for another $20 credit.
i was surprised, they didnt even ask for managers approval on the staples coupon, she just knocked $30 off after barely glancing at it.

Now that I was able to place the order I need to get started on the rebates.
I have a question regarding the OM rebate for the WD and for a FAR item. The rebate for both items are the same and has a list of items that you check, my question is, do I just use one rebate form for both items and just put a check next to both items and send everything in the same envelope?

Thanks and good luck to those that are on hold:D

we'll take $30 off your purchase!" on it?

Or is there some graphic on some webpage that has a rectangular coupon-looking or form-looking thing w/ all the info that can be cut-out and shown to OM employee?

IT FLEW!!
I took in a printout of that whole goofy webpage with the $50 off $250, and they TOOK IT!! I got WD HDD + 52X CDR drive + keyboard + 100pk CDRs + 50 pk CDrs + 100 slim jewel cases + earbud headset for 19.99 after rebates!!! I'm still in a daze. I've got a buttload of rebate paperwork to do Monday at work, on the clock :)! I still can't believe this. Praise be to AT forum for it great and worthy to be praised!

If you're in DFW, I was at the new location in South Lake on 114, I was only customer in there, and they didn't act like they were low on HDD quantities 8MB version. I rang up some of my stuff, and wasn't up to $250 (I forgot to take Instant Rebates into account), and I was running around like I was on Supermarket sweep for the FIR stuff. I told the FOUR employees that were helping "I feel like I'm on a game show"... good times.

Call again :)

Btw, I called, got through in five minutes and they said the 120gb 8mb versions were out of stock. I said thank you and hanged up. Immediately called back again and got another person (10 min wait) and they said they were back ordered but shouldn't take more than 5 days to get more in. So I placed the order along with some pens to get to $150, but then she wouldn't take the $30 off $150 deal! Gonna try and call back later to see if I can get the $30 off. So as it stands, I got the 120gb 8mb version for $60. That's still an awesome deal if you ask me. I also went to my local OM, but they only had 2 mb versions.

On a side note, what does FAR stand for?

Free after rebate... these items are used to inflate your total so that you can use higher value coupon codes which results in a lower price after rebates. Sometimes make money :)

yeah but the rebates have a time frame....waiting 5 days to get some and then another 2-3 for shipping is cutting it close IMO

FAR- free after rebate

and i can't get otpion #1 to order...it can't even get on the "Waiting list"

the best i can do is go to Option #2 and that is where i'm waitng

Well, my local OM didn't take the internet coupon, but I got it AR for 60$ + tax. So, I'm satisfied. Hope everyone else is having as good or better luck. <Picked up 2 100pack CDR's for FAR as well>

whoooo-weeeee, 52 minutes and 17 seconds later I've got myself a nice 120GB 8mb hard drive and 50 cd-rs. Total was $131.44 - $30 coupon - $20IR (hd) - $30MIR (hd)- $50MIR (hd) - $12MIR (cd-r's) = $39.44!!! Yesss!!

Heads up all, I didn't have a coupon code (couldn't find it anywhere???) and said that I had a link that officemax was offering to new customers for $30 off $150. The CSR asked me to email the link to her!!! So, I had to go find it (not thinking I would be needing it for phone order) and sent it. She was like, "Ok, $30 off $150," and I wiped the sweat off my forehead, lol

Good luck everyone! Stay on hold and get in on this sweet deal! Just think you potentially save $10 per 10mins you're on hold if you're on for 40+ mins! :p

Whew, finally got this to work.
Seattle OM was out of stock 30 mins after opening.
Called the 1-800 number and the CSR was a jerk & said the HD was out of stock... but I didnt believe him so I called 1-877-633-4236, waited under 5 mins and got a nice lady.
I used $30 off $150 and got:
The HD #20346127 $139
Earbud #20169933 $10
150 CDRs #20187245 $20
Total is $174.07 after tax
Rebates are $110
$64 after rebate!
