<< Gump,
staples is pretty reliable for shipping stuff out once they say it's been shipped... i guess you can them to double-check though if it's taking a while.
hey, does anyone know if it's legit to print out a copy of the confirmation email or order history receipt to use as the "sales receipt" - for the rebates??? i didn't find ANY packing slip included with the shipment (i got everything today). also, has anybody confirmed for sure if staples will honor the rebate even though i used the 20 off 100$ coupon?? i heard conflicting reports about that.... it's worked for me fine in the past but i'm a little hesitant hearing about it now.
what's the story with the AMEX Blue PMing also??? has anybody called in recently to see if they'll still do it??? what's the best way to go for PMing right now?? Staples or AMEX?? >>
I've used the Order Details printout before with no problem. Not sure about the others.
Don't have a clue as to the other quesitons. But, my gut feels is that using a coupon makes no difference. I ordered one after all this crap started being discussed and the item was ordered and shipped with no problem. Can't imagine that the rebate house is going to sit around and calculate (for those to whom this applies) whether the $20.00 was off the scanner or the software or the soda or the water or the camera, etc., etc. Staples could easily have disallowed coupons during the order--but they didn't. These scanners are old technology--particularly in light of the $100.00 claimed price point. Visioneer wants to blow them out I'm sure. And if people forget to send in the rebates, just as well. I don't think anyone at Visioneer or Staples is thinking that these are being sold at a loss. By the time you take into account rebate submissions, price of technology, state of technology, etc., etc. I'm sure Visioneer and Staples will do just fine even with the $20.00 coupon.
