I received my $80 check yesterday. The Staples rebate site never got off "waiting for paperwork". Total time about 3.5 weeks.

Thanks Mystic, my old scanner was dying and for less than ten bucks this was a great "hot deal"

Got my $80 rebate a week ago. I don't think I'll ever hesitate to purchase due to having to wait for a rebate, when it's a staples rebate. One thing that I did do, was click on the email link daily to check on the progress, not sure if that helped speed things up or not. But, 3 to 3 1/2 weeks for a rebate is great.
 
Hehe..I feel Soooooo lucky. I ordered the scanner the final evening of the $80 rebate promotion, but when I got the scanner, the invoice was dated the next day. I figured they wouldn't honor the rebate, but figured it was worth a try, so I sent it in with a little note explaining my situation.

WELL, not only did I get my $80 rebate check, but I also got another $80 rebate check too!! All that on top of the $45 I wound up selling the scanner for, I made $125 off of this deal!!!

Total price for scanner/surge protector/few stuffz - I GOT PAID $20

old deal
$99 scanner + $8 tax
-$20 coupon
-$70 rebate
-$25 PM to shentech
-$10, sold for $40
Profit: $50

Total profit: $70, a scanner, a surge protector, pens, etc.

Staples rocks so do their rebates. Haven't had one not go through yet.
 
Good news about still getting in on this deal. I was at my local staples and they had about 10 of these at $99.95. I didn't get one and wanted to see if they still have a rebate. I didn't realize that the $70 rebate is still valid until May 30, 2002. I am off in the morining to get one. I will price match it with Andaratech for $59.95 and make a couple of bucks off of this.
