I got only 1 email saying that I should be getting another, which I am yet to get. I had a hard time getting the registration form to work, I signed up like 50 times and apparently one time I signed up it worked (it kept saying that I didn't fill in all the blanks) because I got the email I posted in this thread.

FordLorider - I registered a FedEx account online back in January 2002 and had no clue what my account number is.

So I called FedEx at 1-800-463-3339 gave them my last name and street address, they read me off my account number over the phone.

However if you just opened an account online tonight I'm not sure if they'd have it yet or not.

If worse comes to worse, just make up an account number. Make sure that it's 9 digits long.

You should have opened a FedEx account and it would have cost only around $30!

You did sign up for a personal FedEx account right?

When I registered I got this in a yellow box on the confirmation page:

Save your new account number for your records!

xxxxxxxxx

Too bad I didn't type the shipping method in right.

Thanks Ross, didn't really think of putting in a "temporary" :p ID number, I will try to call FedUp tomorrow with that 800 number, maybe they can kick me out a ID number.

It appears that people that are signing up today are having a real hard time getting it to work, has anyone signed up today and been successful getting a number to work?

I signed up today and it seemed like it worked. How would you be able to tell that it didn't? Does Dell verify it?

At the bottom of the 5 rebates, it all states that. Do they mean 1 of that kind (identical rebate number) so we cant send in 2 of the same one?

$840.46 for me, I downgraded it as much as possible since I'm really just trying to upgrade my computer. Hope everything works out, and the deal should definitely be dead by now, considering my order confirmation said:

Order detail - order placed 11/26/2002 11:24:51 PM

and that was 40 minutes ago.

it's ONE rebate per Offer # per Purchase.
There can be multiple Offer #s (5 in our case) for each purchase.

its not like you can send in 10 rebates for $170 off (the memory rebate)....its only one rebate per purchase for that offer #.

To be honest with you I have no idea what sign-up I did actually worked. I signed up like 50 times trying to get something past that registration page, Personal, Business, whatever I tried them all. After I got sick of nothing getting me past the registration page and ordered the Dell, about 5 minutes later, I got a confirmation saying that one of my sign-ups actually worked. I never say any yellow boxes and when I login (using the username and password that I choose) there is no way to access your ID number. I think RossMan has a plan that should work though.

I'll have to call tomorrow to verify the ship method. Insured FedEx 2 day costs $84 from Nashville, TN to my home.... I can't have that. "Ground" like I typed for method is only $22, including insurance. If they don't/can't change the shipping method to ground, I'll at least find out why they won't do it.

Edit: my system is in testing now. w00t!

don't know about you but that kind of a bad link atleast for the western states. All they show as members are High Schools. No colleges. so that's not so great of link.

as for me and this deal. I back out of it. seemed a little too good plus way too much in rebates for my taste.

With my luck, this whole deal will probably fall through.
I just want to see if anyone can beat this order confirmation time 11:55:50 PM.
And my wife says I always wait until the last minute...I had 4 to spare!

Does anyone know anything about HTML?

I need a simple HTML webpage with some tables so I can list the URLs for the Dell rebates and my mirror backups of the rebates (in case Dell yanks or changes the rebate forms)?

Please PM me the HTML code, thanks.
