Time to go take a shower and go to bed. Good nite everyone. Sweet dreams and as usual dont sweat too much on the deal. If it good its good, all we need to do is be there to take it when it comes. Otherwise, ops we will be screwed. Rogue rebates are the worst enemies of Deal hunters. You cant do anything, you cant use your charm, or whatever ferengi skills that you have accumulated over the years.

Now, I couldnt get hold of my friend, I think that, I have given up the hopes on him.

GOOD NITE.

I was just gonna IM you ross, and then you left. :(

Okay....just put the order in, but now I'm concerned about something that someone said at FW...do the order confimation emails actually say the time of the purchase? Someone said that the rebates would go by the time of the email/confirmation...sounds stupid, I know, but $710 in rebates is kind of important. :)

Ok so apparently one of the 50 times I signed up for the FedEx registration it actually worked, but the email I received said that I should be getting another with the 10% discount.
"By now, you should have received online confirmation of your eligibility to save 10% on online express shipments." UM NO!!!!! So does anyone know how to get your account number if you are able to log in?

I haven't done it, but it looks like you create an account with FedEx here then after you add the computer to your shopping cart click "Estimate Shipping and Tax" then select "Use my own designated carrier:" and fill in your information.

I hear that, someone please help us with this FedUp stuff! Well I had to obviously order without using the FedEx savings. I am hoping that I can call them once someone tells us how it works and change the shipping information. I would love to know how to get your account number though.

FedEx shipping works as follows:

Once you sign up w/ FedEx, you get a nine digit acct number. When you complete your order at Dell, they allow you to check a box, specifying your own shipper (in this case, FedEx.) You provide them with that nine digit number, as well as the specific "service" you require/desire from Fred's people over at FedEx ("GROUND" is the service you desire = cheap.) You will then be billed directly for the shipping by FedEx, as you have to provide a credit card, etc. when you sign up with them (FedEx.) Hope that helps -

Thanks...I typed "FedEx Ground" in the service type because I was sick of waiting for an answer here...will that still go through?

But I still dont' think that the rebate is for ALL schools... Again I could be wrong, it's just a gut feeling..

It's not for all schools but certain schools qualify if they're affiliated with dell...some hints to figure this out include reading through 48 pages on the FW thread(LOL if you have that much time) or maybe calling dell and asking =P Also, some hints would be that your college store sells only dells =P
