This is open to users of Vista or XP, and requires signing up for a survey program and a software install that collects data on how you use your computer. You have to participate for 3 months to get your 1 free gift (per person).

edit: indicated in title that the deal is "dead." New signups are not being given the option of choosing a gift.

Hmm, I have a secondary pc that sits around and does nothing most of the time. Sounds like a good place to install this monitoring stuff and let it monitor away for 3 months. I found nothing about how often the computer needed to be turned on or used to qualify...

I signed up. I have no problem with the data collection and I think the surveys are kinda fun. Besides, I wouldn't mind upgrading this puppy to Ultimate, or give my mother a copy should she find she dislikes XP Home on her new laptop and wants to move on.
