Got mine yesterday and it works great! No batteries, but I have extra NiMh so no biggie. Serial numbers blacked out on mine as well (I can still read 'em, though). Works GREAT, connected the first time, keyboard looks like it was used only a few times, and the mouse showed very minor wear on the pads on the bottom. SUCH a great deal... hope it doesn't break for a while 🙂

Went home for lunch and noticed mine showed up today. Everything looks new, but no batteries. Haven't set it up yet, but it looks good!

Same experience as DefDC (except I couldn't go home for lunch - I had to wait until I left work).

Everything I got looks brand new, but no batteries.

For $34.95 (plus cost of batteries) that's a hell of a deal.

Thanks se7en!

Got mine 2 days ago...with batteries! Awesome deal. Thanks OP!

Just noticed the app buttons on the keyboard are labeled en Espanol. Anybody else get one like that?

got mine today.

It looks almost perfect.
1 small scratch on the keyboard direction keys area.

Mouse came with batteries, not a mark on it

Oddly enough, they left the previous owner's Duracell batteries in the KB, but they were dead. 🙂 Hooked up everything, and works like charm. This was a great deal!

For those of you who're still interested, Justdeals.com has 168 of these for $38.95 with free shipping (last time I checked). There's a $5 off coupon for Justdeals floating around on the net so your final price is $33.95.

I've ordered from Justdeals a few times before and have had absolutely no problems with the products.

Came across that this morning and was going to post it, but you beat me! Definitely a good deal for those that missed the overstock one.

My keyboard is fine but mouse is bad. If anyone (who is RMAing) willing to do a trade, that will be great....one of us can have a working combo...heres what i suggest:

You ship me your mouse and I ship you my defective one (I pay shipping both ways)
or
You ship me your defective keyboard and I ship you my keyboard (you pay shipping both ways).

This way, atleast one of us will get a working combo. Let me know if anyone is interested in one of these trades ?
thanks

Mine came today. The mouse wheel was covered in food crumbs or some crap, keyboard looks OK. No batteries. I won't know if it works until I install it later today.

it's plug and play.

no need to install anything.

Mine came in yesterday.

The wireless mouse works fine; but keyboard refuses to comunicate with the base station. I would not mind using the wireless mouse (along with my existing, wired keyboard), but the way this appears to be set up indicates that the base station talks to the computer through the keyboard port. (So, you could presumably use the wireless keyboard and a wired mouse, but not the other way around.)

The wireless mouse feels great to hold; it has a very nice balance and feel. But to my eyes, the mouse cursor movements appear to be less smooth than my current Microsoft wired optical mouse. YMMV.

Also, while the keyboard and mouse look clean; they are far from spotless. My current, two-month-old, wired keyboard looks far more pristine. I also like the feel of my current keyboard (MS, basic, wired) more than that of the Logitech wireless keyboard. The impressive thing about the Logitech wireless keyboard is the number of onboard controls and programmable keys. I am sorry that I will not have that facility. I will be seeking an RMA soon.

Hope this information is useful to some of you.

Yes, I do. 🙂

Thank you, though, for offering to help.

EDIT: 1.2V NiMH batteries don't work, but 1.5V Alkaline do? Is there such thing as a 1.5V NiMH rechargeable? Everything I found online was 1.2V.

Came today, great condition. No batteries, but I had already ordered some. Mouse is a little heavier than I'm used to (it's got 2 AA batteries in it), but other than that I'm pleased.

Got it yesterday but didn't get a chance to try it until today.

Strange problem with it. When I connect it via PS/2, the base station will disconnect from my PC when I soft or hard reboot. The only way to get it to reconnect is to turn off the power via my PSU, discharge it, then flip it back on and then my PC.

When I connect the base station to the USB port, it'll work when I reboot soft or hard but I can't use the mouse or keyboard until XP boots. I can't get into the bios or anything and I know USB keyboard and mouse are turned on in the bios.

Anyone else having problem with this? I highly suspect it's an incompatibility with the base station and my particular motherboard, a K8N-Neo, which seems to continue feeding power to the PS/2 ports even when the PC is off. I've noticed this for a while because the LED light on my Microsoft Intellimouse never goes off even when the PC is off.

Is there a fix for this or am I stuck using USB?

My keyboard does not work either, although the mouse does. The reciever I got says "cordless Mouse reciever" on the bottom label and has a part # 830659-0000 also, it only has a USB connecter, no ps/2 connecter as shown in the installation diagram that came with it. Im wondering if I have reciever for the mouse only....
Can anyone else check the part # on the bottom of their working reciever and tell me if is the same # as mine?

Mine is 830878-0000

Not sure if that'll help though. It could be a revision. What does it say next to Receiver in that middle box? Mine is C-BK16A-DUAL

I'm thinking that Dual is important. If you don't have it, you got the wrong receiver.

Anyone want to answer my question? I can't get mine to work properly when connected to the PS/2 port.

I just received mine and it all looks brand new. The keyboard doesn't work however. After some investigating I found that the usb plug on the receiver that plugs into the ps2 adapter is broken. Not only is it broken, like with a hammer, but parts of it are missing. There is no way this thing was working before shipping. I assumed refurbished items were at least tested before shipping but apparently not. The receiver is a "cordless desktop receiver" with the same part # PepperBreath mentioned.

Like I said before, a CS rep said that they have to call any returns "refurbished". Note she didn't say "factory refurvbished or that they are tested. I think that if they look like they work, if they even look at them. The just do a turn around...Ie....Joe Shmo returns and item because it doesn't work or whatever and they ship it out to you at a reduced price....🙂 my 2 cents...

Finally got mine this weekend as well:

Keyboard Didnt work upon install - KB didnt work at first seems the ps2 adapter might be non functioning as I can get it to work but not with the mouse hooked up. Doesnt work with KB usb and ps2 mouse for me so I used a ps2/usb adapter to plug them both in usb and works just fine now.

Both were in near perfect shape no visible wear, marks or scratches.. and mine came with batteries as well.
