FWIW, I've been using this combo (purchased individually) for more than a year now. It's perfect for heavy gaming... I know a lot of ppl playing BF1942/BF:V wishing I had crappier HW. 🙂

I just picked up another. Thanks OP!

anyways, whats a good deal on rechargable batteries for the mouse?

see my post above /w a "battery linky" best place around I know of ordered tons from them in all sizes cheap, work perfect, 1000+ charges before they start to degrade, did I mention cheap.. .. .. variable from 1100mah - 2300mah

The Logitech charger takes about 4-6 hours to fully charge that should last 7-10 days on normal use.. less with heavy use maybe 5-6.. ..Charger will charge mouse in 15min and will last about a full day of use should you forget and need to charge it quick.

Also note any "black" surface mousepad will deplete the battery faster as opposed to a white one due to the laser having to do more work.. ..

Not even close. Try 2-3 days with the stock batteries.

He's referring to a regular user.
Not an Anandtech Fiend.

I get around a week out of my batteries out of fairly consistent use. The batteries in it are over 2 years old too.

i have had this setip for over a year and it is AWESOME. Def a must buy. Only problem I have had is that the thing doesn't like to drop in the charger to charge, I always have to clean the contacts.

I'd better stay away from it although the price is nice.

Thanks!

Nothing Wrong with refurbs.
I have a refurb Wireless headset and they run like a champ.

this is a sweet deal as i would have no problems with factory reconditioned if i didn't have the duo already and was lucky enuff to get in on the $20 rebate so i paid a little more for new. but this is a nice combo.

My factory reconditioned z560s from Overstock came in good condition and still works to this day. Looks exactly like it was opened, returned, sent to Logitech, Logitech tested it, cleaned it up a bit and sent it out. Only thing that kept it from being "totally new" was a white scuff on the woofer that rubbed out with no pressure.

reconditioned just means it was fixed back to the way it was supposed to be. a brand new unit off the shelve would have a higher chance of DOA then a reconditioned one.

Thanks, OP!. I've been waiting for this - hell, my Uncle paid 2.5x as much for his new, and my old neighbor 2x. And se7ven, thanks for the battery link. I needed to pick up a charger and cells anyways, nice prices compared to retail stores.

Edit: Battery store provided by se7en has a 5% off code, go to the website and order, the code is the website name (between www. and .com ).

Thanks for the head up on this. I'm in.

I just wish it came with the OSTK hottie from their commercials. 😀
