Are any of the newer DSfix updates needed? I think I'm still running 1.3 or 1.4.

Considering they raise the framerate to over 30? Yes.

The 30fps rate doesnt bother me at all. The game was made to run like that so it feels just fine.

Plus from what I've read, raising the fps introduces all sorts of bugs they haven't worked out yet.

I did figure out that most mods require at least DSFix 1.5

The resolution fix, framerate fix, and mouse fix seemed to have fixed a great deal of the ports deficiencies. Now I just need to purchase the game.
