First off CTrain, after your reading your posts i can come to no other conclusion that your a complete asshole.

Anyway, if you read my update you will see why i assumed. Did i make a mistake? Yes, of course. However, I do still stand by my assertion that BB needs to fix their advertising.

And of course if you read my posts, I think their AD is misleading too but it isn't the point of this thread.
Most things you see in this world is misleading in one way or another.
The point is most people confirm thing before assuming anything.

If you had admit it was your mistake in the first post, this thread wouldn't have lasted this long.
You were whinning about the late fee and put the total blame on BB which is why you have so many people disagreeing with you.

And assuming I'm a total @sshole...assume on.
You should assume everyone is an @sshole too from now on when they strongly disagree with you.

good God, you have some serious problems. i feel sorry for you :(

Thank you for having pity on me.

Sucks for me, turns out this No Late Fees arrangement is ONLY available at Blockbuster corporate stores, not any franchise locations. Spoke to the manager at my local BB and it turns out nearly 1/3 - 1/2 of all BB stores are not corporately owned and the only way to find out which is which is by asking.

Whatta load of advertising crap!

YOU are angry because YOU failed to ask someone at the store about this?

This is why we have so many "victims" in america. No one bothers to RESEARCH anything, or ask simple questions. Blockbuster cannot make the franchisees promote this offer, as I believe iit would be illegal. I mean, c'mon, you never even stopped to consider that your local BB might be a franchise?

The reason why this guy didn't ask and probably the same reason I wouldn't ask is because I don't want my experience of renting a simple movie and turn it to a freak'in PROJECT. What you are saying is almost like if I were to go to the market and ask the clerks on each apple if they were fresh, we shouldn't need to do that! I've seen these ads about no late fees on the news, commercials, and newspaper. I too would go to any blockbuster and pick a simple movie and not get charged for late fees as stated without doing no god damn RESEARCH.

LOL, can you believe it, this whole thread could have been avoided if the OP just ask about the "NO late fee" before renting the videos OR if he just called the place before deciding to keep the videos longer.
Either way would have took about...what 2 minutes ?? TOPS.

Imagine, me being labeled an @sshole and everything now, its gonna ruin my self esteem.

Who the Fvck said anything about RESEARCH ??
Asking takes 2 minutes ??

Lets see here, BB always have had "LATE FEES" and now they're promoting "NO late fees". Wouldn't you want to confirm this before assuming ??

Its not like they never had LATE FEES and then they start charging LATE FEES, then I would be pissed.

BS. The average joe does not look for signs all over the place and asks if the deal they see on TV is applicable to that particular store. I hate this holier-than-thou attitude of most of ATOT. I did not know this little stipulation about only corporate-owned stores. If I went to my local Blockbuster, whether I noticed any signs about no late fees or not, if I got a late fee, I'd be pissed too. That's all I heard about was no late fees at Blockbuster for the first week of this year, and damn it, I'd expect no late fees, signs or no signs.

LOL, can you believe it? This whole thread could have been avoided if BB was more up front about the restrictions of which stores did away with late fees OR they educated their customers better. Either way would have took about.....what, the same time it took to say BB in general did away with late fees?? TOPS.

It's easy for them to tell him what he SHOULD have done when they know the outcome. I doubt half the people in this thread would have called or asked first.
