is there some cultural thing that Asians have where it's offensive to park in front of a house you're not visiting?

Yeah, Viets, Czechs, or Krazy Kazakhs... they should all read up on law and the concept of public property before making themselves look like total arses

Czechs? I'm czech born and raised and I've never seen anyone imply that street is their property... either there or the US

No. In parts of Boston, folks of different races act the same way. Usually, they put a cones in front of their house so no one can park.

we have several big parties here in san antonio during April called Fiesta. during one of the events - the St Mary's University Oyster Bake - we parked in front of a frat house .

they came out and tried to charge us to park there. we (3 big dudes) told them this is a city street and anybody was allowed to park there... they backed off pretty quickly and the car wasn't touched when we got back

Someone parked in front of our (fraternity) house one time, and refused to move. We just picked up the car (an 80s model trans am) moved it into the street, and called the cops, telling them someone left their car in the street. The tow truck was along in short order.
