Watching the major outlets quiz people relentlessly on CRT or being "woke" I can only come to the conclusion that the most obvious thing is to not defend but counter attack and change the narrative. Call it bullshit (I mean this literally) and then talk only what Republicans want to do if they get power like cut taxes on the rich and reduce education funding. Attack don't defend.
Somehow Youngkin managed to convince VA parents that their schools which rank #4 in the country are failing their kids. How do you pull that off?

You cannot prove to me the moon isn't made of surplus cheese because big dairy needs to keep prices high. The mainstream media won't cover it so who knows if it's true or not. Do your own research.

That's what a lot of people arguing CRT systematic indoctrination might exist actually sound like.

I never did trust Big Cheese.

I thought this was an excellent take on it; short and sweet.

Republicans don't want history in its entirety taught. Maybe when people show up at school board meetings foaming at the mouth they should be questioned as to how much they really know about this countries history. I bet those people were never taught blacks were excluded from the GI bill

I don't understand at all why white american's would care that the existence of racism and its downstream effects is taught in schools.

I remember a while back that an old high school friend of mine posted a meme on FB about John Robert Fox, the first black man to receive the Medal of Honor, as some kind of proof that he wasn't racist (not sure why on that part as I hadn't started that exchange, but I assume it's because he liked to post blatantly racist memes of Obama back then).
Anyway, I asked him if he knew why it was that Fox (or any other American war hero who was black) wasn't awarded that honor until the mid-90s (when his meritorious action was in 1944), and who it was that forced the DoD to rectify that oversight. Needless to say, he wasn't happy to learn that answer (because it was Hillary).

BTW, I just want to add that responses like that meme you posted are IMO the correct way to address the controversy over CRT. Dems need to stop letting the GOP control this narrative in order to falsely define CRT.

The Loudoun County, Virginia school district paid The Equity Collaborative LLC as consultants to provide a Systemic Equity Assessment, District Equity Plan, and provide Equity Driven Central Office Leadership.

Clearly a workshop for staff is teaching kids CRT.

I have to ask you even if they were teaching it wouldn't you be more concerned about this teacher?
Teacher who told students Trump is still president doesn’t work at California school anymore (msn.com)

Scare white people with trumped up boogeymen like Critical Race Theory
Also throw in a healthy dose of "freedom" and "parent's rights/choice" in regards to things like mask wearing in schools during a pandemic. I don't think we can underestimate the motivation to ensure their kids have the right to be walking bio weapons has motived some parents to vote.

Stop being obtuse. These services are clearly encouraging teachers to view education through the lens of CRT. To think that the concepts/ideology being presented to staff/teachers wouldn't be passed on to students is asinine.

No not really. My concern over one crackpot teacher (that was fired for being a moron) pales in comparison to my concern over the propagation of illiberal identity based critical theory being pumped into the culture whether it's via public school or other means.

Because a seemingly-growing number of whities have convinced themselves that *they* are the downtrodden oppressed minority. When you have been King of the mountain for generations, anything resembling equality is a major move downward.

And to be sure, any move toward equality is going to at times go a bit too far (IMO). It isn't like you can magically right the wrongs of hundreds of years. My company hired a truly terrible developer and I'm fairly convinced it was for diversity reasons (she was a black female). She not only was unqualified for the position, she was abrasive and felt like she already knew everything. But you know what--her being hired doesn't make me (a white male) a fucking oppressed slave like my (also white male) coworker believes. He scours the internet for "evidence" that whites are being pulled down like slaves from ancient times, I finally just told him to f off and don't bother me with non-work-related stuff.

So what would you tell your students about black people being excluded from the GI bill? Or would you tell them anything? After all why tell the entire truth in history class.

As mentioned those were ideas proposed to deal with a real problem. It's still not teaching CRT to school kids.

There were these teachers that were being indoctrinated in White Supremacist Theory (WRT) in the colleges and universities and many later on became K-12 school teachers, parents started complaining in primary schools that these teachers were promoting WRT to their children, yet when those same parents were told to point out WRT in the current curriculum none could because it wasn't there in writing.

I mean, do you even need to bother? The dumbass couldn't even get the fucking acronym right, using WRT (White Replacement Theory) while saying White Supremacist Theory (which would be WST).

Not that anyone ever accused that poster of being intelligent, but this is particularly dumbass for even their usual idiocy.

AKA, just another full of shit white supremacy loving dumbfuck that literally cannot make a single post without either lying or being a monumental idiot, or both.

Which let's update their acronyms since they're too goddamn dumb to manage it.
