I think the most telling part is that for several months critical race theory was considered a HUGE problem by conservatives, it dominated conservative media, laws were being passed about it left and right, and then... they just sort of forgot about it. Why? Because it was never a thing to begin with, just a reason to rile up the base and grift them.

I just wish some of the CRT scholars had debated one of the right wing liars during the height of the panic.
 
It's just marketing. You got to put a lot of makeup on a shitty brand like theirs.

CRT is just the wokes trying to justify their ignorant beliefs that America was ever racist. I mean we have been the beacon of equality since 1776. Just ask the African Americans, Native Americans, Hispanic Americans, Jews and da women. I mean women always had equality. I mean they could vote in 1776 along with poor suppressed white landowners and souther black land workers. Heck, we even gave the southern black land workers full personhood in 1770s and not 3/5 a personhood like the wokes claim.

What is this weird obsession with “marxists” on the right? For context it calls for firing “marxists” from the Department of Education specifically.

Are the 12-15 actual “marxists” in the United States actually that powerful?

The burden of proof that it exists lies with the party making the claim it exists. They have been able to provide no such evidence whatsoever. No basis or foundation for their claims at all.

The 'hard left' would be those who believe in the inevitability and desirability of the violent overthrow of capitalism and the establishment of the dictatorship of the proletariat. At least that describes those I've known. The 'moderate left' would be democratic socialists, who believe in the 'peaceful road to socialism'. I don't see many of either on this forum. It's mostly the moderate right (liberal technocrats) arguing with the far right (racist populists).
