Honestly haven't kept up with this thread, but have seen plenty of news stories on this.
What fucking bewilders me is how long this story has gone on... and we still haven't seen charges pressed. This seems so fucking open and shut at this point - god damn, I hope this fucking idiot is in the slammer for 50 years. Voter fraud needs to be taken serious - when I say serious I don't mean 2 days, 20 days, or 2 years. I mean 10+ at minimal.
I understand you need to give people time in jail for crimes to deter them - but the severity of voter fraud needs to be emphasized heavily.
Also I've never seen a bigger moron on TV with his bullshit "Dur hur, I dun no wut happened, I dun had 2 strokes" defense
It's election fraud. it's way way way worse than voter fraud, and it's what the Repubs have specialized in for years. for fucking years...actually, it's why the Dixiecrats > Southern Republican takeover even happened, in direct response to the Voting Rights Act (from 1964-1972 or so), which was recently torpedoed by the very same republican assholes. ....I mean, is that inconvenient, the truth and all? Is that inconvenient? It's an honest question--it's the simple facts on the ground. It's the only base of truth for which this current reality exists. It is nothing else.
This is, quite simply, what the GOP has been doing in the south for GENERATIONS. IT isn't a fucking mystery. it's why the fucking Voting Rights Act exists and, herp a derpa fucking derpa doo--why as soon as these activist motherfuckers on SCOTUS gutted it, it all started happening again. It is not fucking other way. that is the fucking truth. full stop. end of fucking story.
I'm glad that you recognize this blatant skullduggery for what it is--and I also hope that you accept that this only happens because SCOTUS is loaded with activist conservative twats that have no other agenda but to repeat every fucking social freedom that this country fought and bled for against first our colonial oppressors, and the fucking slave owners of the south that dared to declare themselves true Americans. Any support of this current paradigm of SCOTUS, and such anti-social decisions is nothing less than unerring support of Confederate hegemony and rebellion against this nation's founding. It is nothing else.
