That's pretty true. It's best to shoot for the middle. People who want to teach will not be driven off by bad wages. People who are in it for the money will find something else more profitable.

If teachers make 30k per year, then it becomes everyone's backup plan. Only the people who fail at life become teachers.
If teachers make 300k per year, it's the top priority of everyone who loves money but doesn't give a shit about teaching.

There is nothing wrong with people who fail at life teaching. As long as teachers are pleasant and can follow a pre-written lesson plan, they do not require extensive knowledge of the subject in order to perform his or her duties. If you have a truly exceptional teacher, then he or she can look to private schools to earn more money. Its a fact that there is no good way to measure teacher performance if you cant hire and fire teachers at will.

The tea party is a liberal conspiracy to make conservatives look bad. I refuse to believe that any of these teabaggers are for real.

Here are some teabag ideas we've seen and heard before. There's no way any of these real. It's just not possible.
-"get big government out of my medicare"
-government employees who insult themselves by saying all government employees are retarded (usually military people saying this, and our very own Spidey07)
-people receiving farm subsidies then complaining about other people sucking on the government tits

Unfortunately, the TEA Party is for real. I know one of their members who is a rabid supporter. Of course, while he screams how socialism and spreading the wealth is killing this country he is short selling his primary condo and rental/investment condo he failed to flip. He's also still charging the tenants rent while not paying the bank. But yes, it's all Obama's fault.

What's fucked is how so many people don't seem to get why schools crank out shitbags. Why do a bunch of Asian immigrant students learn so much at the exact same schools? Isn't that some indication that the school works fine and the parents are 99% of the problem?

This. I was doing computer support at an Indian radiologist's house a while back. In his office there were a bunch of trophies for his kids. Upon closer inspection, I discovered they were academic rather than athletic.

I'll admit I was a moron when I was younger. I cared more about making my '70 Nova SS go fast than learning anything at the Junior College I was attending. I went two years, dropped out, and started working full time. Bad move. I worked shit jobs for 15-20 years before learning enough about computers to make a average living at it.

A word of advice to younger members of this forum... Stay in school and more important be there to learn rather than get a good enough report card to get to the next grade. At some point you will be called upon to apply what you've learned in the work force and if you weren't paying attention you will struggle. Seriously.

Yup, a degree is worthless except to HR no nothings and the government. I've met more people with CS degrees that are afraid to open the computer cases than I care to mention.

He is committing fraud and will affect those tenants in a bad way.

I hope he rots in jail and gets it good when he goes to get his soap.

Hehe... The place I work is hiring a level 1 NOC position right now. My boss got a ton of applications. One of them was an attractive young woman pursuing her Masters in IT. She has *zero* experience troubleshooting connectivity or computer issues and has never used any Windows Server OS or Linux. He said he felt embarrassed asking questions because her answer was always, "I've never done that but I'd like to learn".

Yeah, we mentioned the 'fraud' thing to him and his excuse was they aren't making all of their payments. I just think it's so ironic how he rants on liberals and preaches personal responsibility yet is dumping his debt on the banks who will in turn dump it on us. So hypocritical.

But the teacher is the one who writes the lesson plan. My chemistry teacher in high school had the same hand written transparencies for something like 5 years. One of the people I went to school with is now an elementary teacher and I remember her mentioning that the first year of teaching is the most difficult because that's the year when you write most of your lesson plans.

Wow, you know a hypocrite who's a TEA Party supporter, well that's it they all are then. I guess the entire Obama administration are tax cheats too huh? Is every republican is a sex offender too? Are all black people crack dealers, and all white people farmers?
