Rice is praising Pakistan as an ally. Isn't Pakistan an outpost of tyranny? Where's the democracy there?

Oh, but their leader is a 'firendly' dictator. So it's ok. He can always be removed some years from now or something. Right?

Right, then they'll call their involvement with Pakistan "a non issue."

Sen. Hutchison (R-TX) is now apologizing for the failure to tackle the insurgency. Saying no one could have predicted it.

Bull-fvcking-sh1t!!!!

Both the State Dept. and the CIA predicted the insurgency before the invasion but Rumsfeld ignored them!

Yes, Rumsfeld was wrong. Shinseki was right, but they forced him out. Shinseki called for more troops, Rumsfeld wanted to go in with smaller number of troops but with higher fire power.

Now what do we do?? We support the troops thats what!

If you supported the troops, YOU'D DEMAND THEY COME HOME NOW!

YOU SUPPORT THE WAR, BUT NOT THE TROOPS!

No you dont support the troops. 1,300 or so American soldiers have died ... for what?? They wanted peace and stability for Iraq and Iraqi's. They gave their life for it.

If we pull out now it would be like pissing on their graves.

We needed Pakistan for our operations in Afghanistan, we had no choice but to ally ourselves with. Wait a sec ... we have been Pakistan's allies all along. Ha. Pakistan is the same country that basically put the Taliban into place, was one of three governments in the world that recognized the Taliban regime and it continued to support it up till 9/11. On 9/12 Pakistan cut off all ties with the Taliban. lol how convenient of them

I blame 9/11 partially on Pakistan. Saudi Arabia is another islamic countr ruled by evil, corrupt leaders. I think we have played nice with these thugs (or princes) for many years, its time to get tough with them. Bush needs to put aside his family connections with the Saudi bigots (the princes). Kuwait ... well it doesnt make much difference one way or another.

Uhhh so your saying Bush wants to invade Pakistan??? WOWIEEE

Barbara Boxer is speaking now. If the Senate is listening to her and they seriously consider the facts Senator Boxer is presenting they won't confirm Rice.

Agreed...I would never be able to confirm someone who has acted the way Rice has.

I guess you had your fingers in your ear going "lalala" while she pointed out more than once how Rice had mislead the people and avoided answering the senates questions truthfully. Rice may have the experience(And she does), but anyone who doesn't have serious about her double standards and the errors she's made needs to step back and think hard if they really want someone who talks well, but doesn't tell the truth(Or avoids telling it).

Btw, "man woman?" is that your way of saying you can't refute what Boxer said?

Mad woman. Was a typo.

John Warnar(R) made a good case there. Don't agree with him entirely, but he made a good case non-the-less. Unlike the partisan hacks who all seemed to be towing party lines.

Wow, gj Cornyn. He talks of partisan politics and attacks by others, but then he plugs in those delightful (Yet debunked) Iraq working with terrorists to attack the U.S, connections. As an excuse to attack Iraq.

Senate Democrats accuse Rice of lying . . .

Senate Democrats said Tuesday that Condoleezza Rice lied to them, misled Americans about the Iraq war or served as an apologist for Bush administration failures in Iraq, but she remained on track for confirmation as secretary of state.

Obviously they sure as hell can't accuse her of telling the truth, can they ?
That in itself would be a lie !

The fact that you use race to confirm a liar makes you a racist.

You assclowns pissed on the Constitution, the troops and the slightest semblance of democracy with this illegal war.
