Was it Senator Sarbanes of Maryland?

Nope, he's thinking of the one and only Sen. Christopher Dodd of Conneticut. He asked her about torture, and she couldn't do anything but avoid the question. His response was that for her soon being SOS she should simply be able to point out what is torture. It was beautiful.

The problem I have with Rice is that I do not believe she will forcefully disagree on anything.

The most useless thing a President( any President) can have is a cabinet full of "yes" men, or women.

I think every night before Bush goes to bed, he calls up Condi and asks her "who's your daddy?" and she replies, "you are daddy" and the phone conversation is over.

After the 9/11 Hearings, I have absolutely no respect for her at all. Somehow I don't think those questioning her will take her to task over her lack of integrity or accountability.

Only one that has is Kerry.

This is like what? The first day he has come to work in a year?

It's great seeing Condosleezza on the defensive, as the press and 50.9% of Americans let her run like a loose cannon.

Biden was way too soft on her. After the way he grilled Ashcroft over the Abu Ghraib abuses, I was waiting for him to light into Rice.

What are the chances of anyone on the Confirmation Comittee showing up and bringing their spine with them ?

Is there any Phylum Chordata left in the Congress anyway ?

Well, technically hagfish and lampreys count. Many of those in Congress.

Saw both of those examples in the News Clips last night, one on each side.

Not much of a surprise.

Let's save the real battles for Bush's re-nominated rejects for judges.

Let Rice hang herself.

Just an FYI guys.. you lost the election.. you don't get to choose who Bush picks.. Just thought I would point that out, because you seem a little confused.

Who's saying that? You seem confused in that Bush said he'd reach out to the other side but flip-flopped on that and is staying close to the hip in his choices.

Now Sen. Levin is letting her have it. Ripping her on her exaggerations and distortions of intelligence.

The more I find out about this the more convinced I am that she is either a liar or incompetent.
