Who's saying that? You seem confused in that Bush said he'd reach out to the other side but flip-flopped on that and is staying close to the hip in his choices.

Isn't it the responsibility of the LOSES to comprimise? You lost.. Not Bush. Does in the losing side in war get to determine the ceasefire agreement? YOU need to reach out... If Kerry won do you think Kerry would have reached out to the the right? I don't think so.

YOU LOST.

Wake up Bubba - That's NOT how it works.

First, since Bush did win - he gets to select candidates to offices that the CONGRESS either
accepts or disallows, based on their records, and how they are perceived by the Senate
Comittee, and voted on by the FULL SENATE. Go back and take a lesson in U.S.
Government and see how it is supposed to work, not by your partisan political view.

Rice was incomptent in her previous position, I don't see her getting any better in this one.
Same with Gonzel-Ass, he's not creditable enough to be the AG, with his partisan Baggage.
These people are supposed to be good for the Citizens of the entire country,
not Rubber Stamps for Bush's agenda based on their loyalty to Dubya.

Amazing how far you'll go to apologize for him.

Why do you think that the ELECTION is the same as a war ?
First - Bush got about 30% of the vote of all registered voters.
Second - Kerry got about 29% of the vote of all the registered voters.
Third - 1% of the registered voters voter for 'Other Candidates'
Fourth - 38% of all registered voters didn't even vote, so NOBODY got the most votes.

Bush's 1% margin over Kerry is not as much of a mandate as the 38% who failed to vote.

Our electoral process is broken, and these clowns don't want to fix it, they would be kicked out.

I know exactly how it works. Rice will be confirmed. Are you at that point going to say she is 100% qualified since she went through the process and was confirmed with a strong majority of support from congress? I suspect Rice will get majority support from democrats as well.. Apparently our entire congress is incompetent then?

I think we need to redefine incompetent for you dems.. Incompetent by YOUR definition means that they don't follow your radical views..

He has reached out to democrats, you guys have spit in his hand, in his face, and then claim he is unwilling to take your hand. No kidding. You have done everything in your power to push him away, and then try to play the other side of the coin and say he is not even reaching out..

Sen. Hutchison (R-TX) is now apologizing for the failure to tackle the insurgency. Saying no one could have predicted it.

Bull-fvcking-sh1t!!!!

Both the State Dept. and the CIA predicted the insurgency before the invasion but Rumsfeld ignored them!

I'm not sure I said anything about a mandate.. care to quote where I said that? I said YOU LOST.. The people who didn't vote, actually DID vote.. they voted that they didn't care enough to vote.. thus they don't count. The fact is Bush WON the election, by 1 vote, by 10 million votes, it doesn't matter. That means he gets to CHOOSE his cabinet.

Clinton won with considerably less popular and percentages of the vote than Bush, but I don't think you guys were saying he didn't have a mandate then.. and like I said, I'm not even claiming a mandate.. I'm saying bush WON.. YOU need to comprimise.. not us.

Yes, Rumsfeld was wrong. Shinseki was right, but they forced him out. Shinseki called for more troops, Rumsfeld wanted to go in with smaller number of troops but with higher fire power.

Now what do we do?? We support the troops thats what!

With more troops. But, the generals aren't going to request them as that's against Rumsfeld's transformation plan and counter to the Bush admin's wishes. Anyone who's said we need more is now no longer in command in Iraq.

Fixed.

And I agree with CaptnKirk.

Bush turned me almost into a Democrat now.

Yeah, and she somehow NEVER got the info about repeated attempts to get that Uranium claim removed by the CIA. Somehow I don't believe her.

I'll take that as you agree with me that he has reached out and you have rejected him.. Thanks, we can move on now.

You LOST.

Remember before the election how you were acting like an arrogant jackass? (See my sig) THAT was when you thought you were going to win.. You were not reaching out to the right then, you were insulting and belittling the right.. thinking you had it all wrapped up.. Then, the unthinkable happens and Bush wins.. SUDDENLY you attitude changes.. and you think its up to us to reach out to YOU and YOUR ideas when for the past year you were spitting in our faces with a smug smile on your face thinking Kerry had it all but won.

I think Bush has done MORE than Kerry would have done given the reverse situation. And the actions of Kerry and people who supported him PROVE that.

So, yeah, I defend Bush.. I'll even say he has gone TOO FAR.. I think he should have given the left a big middle finger in his inaugural speech.. You deserve it, thats what you did to him.

He hasn't made the first attempt. It was all talk. His actions since the election have proven that but you refuse to see it.

You LOST.
No, I didn't. Kerry did. I wasn't running for office.

I wasn't insulting the right. You are generalizing. I was berating Bush and his supporters. There are some on the right who still have a brain and are able to think and sponsor debate. Bush and his toadies in his admin are all back-slapping yes-men who fire anyone who dares waver from the Bush line.

Rice is praising Pakistan as an ally. Isn't Pakistan an outpost of tyranny? Where's the democracy there? Or, say, in Saudi Arabia? What about Kuwait?

Oh, but their leader is a 'firendly' dictator. So it's ok. He can always be removed some years from now or something. Right?
