I have actually had ok to great customer service everytime I have needed it, which I have kept to a minimum. I think the key is to not be a pain in the ass bad attitude fucktard when you have to talk to someone in person.

I always make a note of the name of the person that is helping me, seems to build rapport when I address people by their name. The main thing for me is to remember there is a person on the other end of that fake communication method. I thoroughly enjoy communicating with people in real life so YMMV...

I'm surprised so many people mention Corsair. They shipped me some memory that UPS damaged and it was a clusterfuck getting it straightened out. They would have screwed me if I didn't have decent records of every step I took and hoop I had to jump through.

Now that you mention it I had a horrible experience with them as well. Couldn't get anyone to return my calls or emails - had my ram 3 weeks longer than they said they would etc

-ATi (Back when they were their own company and made their own video cards)
-Sprint (They've been good to me... )
-Corsair
-MWave
-Newegg

The only company I've received exceptionally unsatisfactory CS from was Comcast.

Logmein.com, I recently had a problem with a clients ability to print remotely, so I had to call a few times. The dudes knew their shit and were quick. Both seemed to know computers inside and out, I was shocked.

Forever I would say Amazon. However, due to a "miskey" by their receiving department I went through 4 days of calls to get an issue resolved. So they are no longer on the top of my customer service list.

I agree with the following however...

Corsair and Newegg have great CS. Comcast is at the very top of the worst list.

I've had good experiences with Crutchfield, Amazon and Logitech.

i've had to RMA memory once and it was Corsair RAM.
all it took was a memtest and shipping back the bad RAM.

crutchfield i've had one issue and they took care of it promptly.

Just wanted to add Autozone.com

Needed to buy a part and couldn't get the exact information I needed on the part from any website. I emailed Autozone and they replied back after contacting the manufacturer to confirm the info.

I ordered the parts and received them yesterday. They're not the exact size they listed on their website nor confirmed thru their customer service. I emailed them today and they called me to tell me that they're going to send me the correct parts for free and overnight them to me. And I can just returned for a full-refund the order I received in the mail to one of their stores.

Props to Crutchfield. Not only does their website do a solid job tailoring your product to your purchase, but they throw a bunch of it in for free, low minimum cost for free shipping, and I found a $20 off coupon that worked.

And then when I couldn't figure something out, I called them, only had to wait a few seconds to talk to someone and the guy knew exactly what I was talking about and had me on my way in about 90 seconds.

This is the same Sprint that sent me a bill for $2 and some odd cents that I did not owe for +/-2.5 years and I could never get a human being on the phone to straighten it out because they demanded a cell phone number I no longer had as a filter between me and a human being?

I just canceled my Citi card. It was the most painless process I've ever had.

It basically went like this:
Me: "I'd like to cancel my card"
CSR: "Ok, no problem. Just give me a minute. Alright sir, your account has been closed. Have a good night".

Same companies other people have mentioned

Costco
Amazon
Target
REI
Newegg

I would have no problem buying something from any of the above and worry about it sucking then having to deal with a pain in the ass review process. I like amazon/newegg review to look at and see what other peoples experiences have been (though I take them with a grain of salt). And with REI they actually seem to have a staff that knows what they are talking about which is nice.

I don't use them anymore but I remember Verizon had great customer service, they just charged an arm and a leg. I have sprint right now, and other than the long wait sometimes, they've been pretty good.
