Dude, you're a fvcking jackass :disgust: Why don't you ditch your 4th grade mentality and grow the fvck up?

Why don't you grow up and learn about the law bitch

what law says you cant show something you own to people?

United States code Title 17 Section 101 (1) : ?To perform or display a work ?publicly? means (1) to perform or display it at a place open to the public or at any place where a substantial number of persons outside of a normal circle of a family and its social acquaintances is gathered;?

Thanks

LMFAO!

Go ahead and call the MPAA.
Or the cops.
Or better yet, CallTheFBI.

Schools can get permits for group showings. They pay hefty frickin' royalties to the studios every year for it. I know because I was on the committee two years ago at my former university.

Law: 1
Narc: 0

The $5000 I would get from the MPAA wouldn't buy me enough drugs to help me live with myself after selling out like that.

You should be ashamed of yourself.

Why don't you grow up and stop wasting taxpayer money. *opens up G: drive on school computer and plays Finding Nemo clip*

Perfectly legit. Do me a favor and stay out of this A/V lab - your lack of understanding of copyright law and it's intention proves that you have no business dealing in any way, shape or form with videography.

Disney (Buena Vista) has historically been very protective of their product (film). To my knowledge they do not grant permits or rentals for films that are out of theatrical release. The reward for turning a violator in is typical of their policies.

I am not sure if this holds true for educational institutions.

Anyway, I think you are an @ss for turning them in purely for your own financial gain.

I never said it was purely for my financial gain. Like I said, I support Disney and am sick of the way this school is being run

If it was petty vengeance because the guy in charge of the showing slammed your sister/mother/girlfriend, that's one thing, but you're just being a cock.

Nice, really nice. What about the law there, chief?

I reiterate my original post.

You are a tool.

wow, you are a fvcking dick

"you don't like the way the school is being run"? tough luck, nothing you can do about it. and even if you do "turn" the school in, nothing will probably happen anyway. If the school does get hit with a fine, all it means is that 1. you are going to have alot of enemies and you are going to crawl to your parents and beg them to move you to a different school, 2. your school programs will be hurt (less money for school == less money for you at school, you think they are going to cut the teachers pay? hell no, they don't want teachers on strike) and 3. your picture will be in the schools main hall with the caption of "big fvcking looser"

clear enough for you?

Your real motives are to help Disney and screw your school? If you happen to recieve a nice large sum of cash thats ok too?

Why do you support Disney btw?

The countless times I saw movies in grade school where the teacher would invite other classes over. Or when there was a special party day and everyone turned in a permission slip to watch a PG film. I'm sure it happens countless times and no one really cares. If it was such a big issue, I'm sure the school would give a warning about possible ownage.

He was probably trying to outrun someone he threw a brick at. :p

Seriously, that's a good point. What say you to that, Mr. High and Mighty Copyright Enforcer? I guess it's OK for you to speed, but not for your school to show a harmless movie for entertainment purposes.
