No. Infact, teh MPAA and the RIAA will come knocking on your door and take turns on your rear end when they cant touch the other guy for lack of evidence

It is nothing like that. My school is showing Finding Nemo in our Auditorium to a group of ~100 people on a projector TV.

One of two things:
a: You have a teacher you don't like, and that teacher showed a MPAA-associated film to your class.
b: You are a huge loser.

*edit* I see that A is correct, but B is still likely.

Damn man! Get in on that action and get some evidence then extort some of the cash with a threat to turn them in. Deal yourself into the game!

You might want to check this, I think schools are allowed to do this sort of thing as long as they dont charge admission.

Just found this information.

Schools have been turned in for copyright violations by parents. Disney pays a bounty - rumored to be $5000 or more. Warner Bros. also pays a bounty. Districts have been to court over the showing of movies in school. Settlements have been in the many thousands of dollars.

So the fvck what? Jesus Christ, people are watching Finding Nemo at school! The horror! Go do your physics homework and quit wasting time finding ways to turn people in to Satan!

When the movie starts, there is usually something which says "Not authorized for group showing"
