Not sure if everywhere, but instead of Colbert we had a Lifelock infomercial in its place tonight. If Paramount did this due to the merger, I'll be canceling my streaming account. Our media cannot keep kowtowing to this administration.

CBS aired Colbert last night. It's also available on Paramount +.

This may be your local CBS station doing this? Let me guess, it's a Sinclair owned station?

Call your local station and ask why they preempted the show. I would be curious. Also ask them about SInclair ownership.

You didn't cancel your Paramount account when they forced 60-Minutes to bend the knee in April? I did

Yes, looks like it varied by region so probably based on station ownership. Will see if they keep up the BS tonight.

It was back on again last night. I guess I jumped the gun, but the timing was very suspect. Very curious as to what went on behind the scenes.

Find out what was in the specific episode in question. That'll tell you something.

What was the date of the preempted show? Just a quick search shows Epstein was the topic the last few days.

I was just recently thinking of that bit from V for Vendetta when the TV host makes fun of the leader...

I am so fucking sick of media corporations dropping to their knees and sucking Trumps tiny dick.

Journalism my ass.
It turns out that many business people, especially at the C-suite are either feckless cowards or they just like Republican policies, and the current environment gives them a permission structure to do things they always wanted to do.

Colbert is a dinosaur in this day and age. This generation wants someone like that guy from Youtube, Mr Bean.

Did that get auto-corrected from "Mr. Beast"?

In case it needs to be said, my reason for posting this wasn't concerns about this show per se; it was about our media capitulating yet again. Maybe I should change the title.

Shari Redstone would strangle a basket full of puppies on national TV while wearing full Nazi regalia if that's what it took to secure the bag.
