"Teach underage women not to get drunk" is a phrase you will NEVER hear from a feminist.

Do what they did and see what society finds acceptable.

As you pick out who to rape I suggest you consider if they have a father thats active and present, because legal recourse may not be the biggest thing to worry about.

good point, edited:

If a girl is passed out, you should:
a) put stuff inside her
b) NOT put stuff inside her

So someone who put his finger up her nose and took a picture should be charged with Rape:colbert:

Oh and btw she wasnt passed out
Witnesses have said the girl was so drunk she vomited at least two times that night. She also had trouble walking and talking. Special prosecutor Marianne Hemmeter described the girl in court as "somebody who was too impaired to say no, somebody who was too impaired to say stop."

Are you claiming that putting your fingers in someone's nose without their consent is equivalent to putting them inside their vagina without their consent?

Getting drunk is NOT a crime. Stupid, but not criminal. And these two nitwits weren't convicted because she got drunk. They were convicted because they abused her while she was too impaired to resist.

Underage drinking is a crime. And while it doesn't excuse the behavior of the defendants, she is responsible for her own actions. Such as drinking with the full knowledge of the effects of alcohol and it being illegal at her age.

sure cite her for drinking underage. However I contend the effects of drinking under age does not include rape.

Maybe a hangover and some community service but not rape.

Yes, she is responsible for her own actions. Being stupid drunk made it easier for those boys to do what they did, but it doesn't make what they did right or excusable.

Getting black out drunk when you're over 21 isn't, but sexually assaulting someone still is.

I'm not sure what people's problem is here. The two kids too advantage of someone and are now paying the price. Too fucking bad. boo hoo...

Go to a third world country with a fat wad of cash sticking out of your back pocket, and then whine when it gets stolen.

As you pick out in which country you should be able to parade without worry, I suggest you consider places like Nigeria and Ethiopia, because they are known for the underprivileged people who deserve equality.

I'm having trouble figuring out what your point is. You claimed there was no evidence, so we showed you evidence.

You claimed she's responsible for her own actions, and no one disagreed with you.

What exactly is your point here?

Enlighten me how from a non-conservative/Patriarchal viewpoint there is a difference? :colbert:

So failure to properly secure ones self from a crime means you deserved and and shouldn't complain when your victimized.

Got it!! Thankfully this isn't how the law operates here in the US. it seems you would be more at home in Nigeria and Ethiopia.

And yet no one pointed out how she's responsible for her own actions. In light of the recent "teach men not to rape" hysteria, hardly anyone mentioned "teach women not to get blackout drunk."

Because it didn't NEED to be pointed out. No one's holding her up as any kind of role model.

Why did YOU need to have it pointed out?

It varies state to state. Most states would list non-intercourse as sexual assault and not rape, provided it involved sexual organs. Without sexual organs being involved, it turns into assault.

Thus, putting your finger in someone's nose without their consent is assault, putting your penis in someone's nose is sexual assault, putting your penis in someone's mouth/vagina/anus is rape.

It really is pretty logical. As I said, it varies from state to state and I do not know the laws specific to their state.

LOL, and right on que, you jump from "failure to secure ones self from crime" = "deserved" and "victimized." Accountability deferred and diverted! A feminist would be proud of you.

I felt it needed to be pointed out. Especially given the "rape culture" frenzy going around in the media left and right.

Munky are you saying that because of this woman's actions, these men were tempted to do something bad. But, if she hadn't...they wouldn't have thought to do it?
