makes me sad to see so many people getting laid off, hope yall all land on your feet.

also sucks to see so many companies not giving xmas bonuses at all. we get a xmas bonus, but its basically the yearly bonus given out at xmas. ours is based on the year's completed jobs profits so good years give great bonuses, bad years give at least a token bonus. im glad to have my job, as well as the 15% bonus i got. the owner gave 90% of his personal profits back to the company to buy new trucks, tools, software and computers to make our jobs easier, so that was a good thing as well.
 
I got a nice box of various soaps and lotions from my customer.... but I haven't received jack squat from my contracting firm yet. Not even a card.

Kinda sucks... for the money I bring in for those guys, they should be kissing my ass.

Edit: I finally got a card from my contracting firm... although I shoulda got a fruit basket or something instead 🙂

$50 from the former Chairman of the Board
$20 and a carmel apple from my boss

Last christmas bonus with this company. I learned last February that I would be layed off Dec. 31st. But, that was moved back to Jan. 31st.

The contract says that I should get it on the 19th. I started June 8. But today isn't a regular payday, so who knows. Not the end of the world if I don't get it, but that would cover almost a years' worth of student loan payments...
 
we don't get Christmas bonuses, never have. We get our usual raises come review time and profit sharing checks in Q3
 
My bonus was equal to a 4 weeks pay. It will most likely go to pay off some of the loan we took out to renovate our kitchen. On the other hand, I was able to sell back 10 days of vacation. I haven't decided what to do with that money.
 
I got 12% of my annual salary...my jaw still hurts from it hitting the floor. I seriously was expecting $500 at most.

$5 starbucks gift card...should be getting the quarterly $300 bonus as well based on the company's performance
