Beans are disgusting, Chipotle sucks, since Chipotle isn't real Mexican food is it safe for me to assume the beans served there are whole and not re-fried? Whole beans in Mexican food's absolute bullshit. I go to Chipotle like once every 3 years when I'm hungry and it's the only thing around where I'm at. And without fail it's always the same thing, a place packed with absolutely clueless Caucasian people who think it's some of the greatest food on the planet.

Isn't Chipotle the place that no longer cooks their beans in Lard because Vegetarians were having a hissy fit? Jesus that place needs to be shut down.

Uhhhhhhhhh

the foodies are getting kinda violent.

Have you been eating too many pesticides bro? :p

Chipotle is groce. You might as well just dump an entire salt shaker in your mouth. All of the taste of Chipotle and none of the calories.

I'm not a Foodie at all, I hate those bitches. I perticularly hate Chipotle because the lines are stupid long, the food has almost no flavor and it's way over priced. See Taco Bell doesn't try to pass itself off as this great Mexican food like Chipotle does. I perticularly don't understand how their burritos rank top 5 in the country for sodium content, but they still have such little flavor. Even if it's an over-salty shit taste, there should be SOMETHING there. When you pack more sodium in a burrito than a quad Baconator from Wendy's has and your shit's still bland? You should kill yourself.

My absolute biggest issue with Chipotle though is they fucked up the Rice. Mexican Rice is possibly the most difficult thing on the planet to fuck up. Rice + tomato + garlic + cumin. \I remember ordering rice there the 1st time and being greeted by some white rice with fucking Cilantro & lime in it. I remember taking it back to the counter and asking for Mexican rice to go with my Mexican Food. The joke was on me though, because that was their Mexican rice, and after I went back to my table and took a bite of the Burrito I realized I wasn't even eating Mexican food. So the rice not being close to right was kind of fitting actually. Hell even the Americanized Taco Bell's able to get Mexican Rice right. When you fuck up Mexican rice you should just kill yourself. Even that horrible abomination of food they call Tex-Mex doesn't fuck up rice like this.

I've always found it ass backwards that Chipotle considers the lack of options to be plus. Where I live there's another burrito chain that absolutely shoves Chipotle's face in the mud with their better flavor, better ingredients, and way more options.

I've never really considered Chipotle to be Mexican food. It's really just a bunch of American food jammed into a tortilla or bowl. I still find it to be delicious, but everyone enjoys different tastes. Their guacamole is some of the best stuff ever.

Too bad. I would've visit Chipotle again if they had a burrito stuffed with just bacon and no bean.

I don't care if they're trying to be Mexican or not (and quite frankly, I don't understand why anyone would care), and I don't care if they're trying to appease vegetarians (they serve chicken, pork and steak for crying out loud, so they're not actually appeasing any one group), and I certainly don't care how much salt they put in their food, if it tastes good to me, then that's all that matters. I love Chipotle.

Baja Fresh?....

I'm fortunate enough to have more authentic Mexcian food options in my area that kick ass over any of the chains.....cheap and better.

Their pinto beans were crap anyway, not even bacon could save them. The black beans are good.

Chipotle is decent for fast food Americanized Mexican food but not something I patronize much with the abundant, cheaper, tastier Mexican joints around here.

It's a good place for

1) Cheap food
2) Filling food
3) Not fried/disgusting fast food (McDonalds, etc) yet only slighty above their price
4) Decently tasty, nothing amazing
5) Lots of good protein in a meal.

No one walks in there expecting Mexican food or anything...

Last shareholder meeting, mentioned removing bacon from the beans will provide a positive synergistic effect. It will open up the dish to a larger market and lower costs which will improve profit margins.

Its not Mexican food. It is what we call Tex-Mex- basically Mexican food that is anglicized to be healthier (no lard in everything) and more convenient (rolled into a burrito).
