I live in San Diego about 10 minutes from the Mexican border, you're trying to tell me that Frito Pie's are Mexican food? You need to think about what you accused me of not knowing about.

i never said a word about Frito pies and no they are not mexican. I ate the shit out frito pies in the 70's as a kid going to rodeos. yes texas is the inventor of the delicious frito pie and the only way to make it is to use Wolf Brand Chili.

FYI Chipotle was started in Denver, we have a strong influence of New Mexico, mexican food.

in no way shape or form has chipotle ever claimed to be an authentic mexican joint.

Never said they claim to be authentic, but when you see the word MEXICAN in the logo it should be reasonable for one to assume they serve Mexican food. Would be better if the logo said "Mexican inspired Grill" or "Tex Mex Grill"

Fuck this thread. Thanks to you, I had to go out and get some for lunch hour.

And just to verify for everyone, a chicken bowl is $6.25. A Steak bowl is $6.50

I doubled the chicken and it was an extra $2.05.

At most I will eat half of this and save the rest for tomorrow. Win-win in my book for 2 meals.

You get mad at us, then claim a win-win? You get mad at us because we got you Chipotle? You don't DESERVE that burrito bowl.

So how exactly does a burrito bowl work when 1 thing that make a burrito a burrito, the folded tortilla is completely missing?

This is great news!

Now, to only remove that disgusting beef, chicken, and whatever other flesh these barbarians eat! Then, it would be worth eating at Chipotle! ;)

No dog/cat meat for you untouchables? lol..

Taco Salads have the fried bread bowl.

Just did a Google image search. About half don't have a fried bread bowl.

Plus you don't eat a taco salad by picking it up with your hands, unless you're a 2 year old. On the flip side, you don't eat a taco with a fork, unless you're a 2 year old.

Lmao, same concept as a taco salad. Don't be dense.

A Taco Salad has a Tortilla, which a Taco also has. a Burrito Bowl has no tortilla. Not same concept at all, not even close.

then 1/2 of those pictures are wrong, a Taco Salad isn't a Taco Salad without the Tortilla shell, period. Without the Tortilla shell it's just a salad with meat. Just because you found images don't make something legit. Just proves a lot of people have no idea how to make a taco salad.

^^ Co-signed. I avoided the pinto beans from Chipotle for exactly this reason.

You people and the gluten freaks are who are trying to make all food taste like crap. I don't care if you want to chew on tree bark, but leave my pinto beans alone.

Your reasoning's exactly why people make "Taco Salads" that aren't even a Taco Salad.

Example, a taco has a shell, that's how it's made, there are no alternate methods. You can't put it on bread and say "it's a taco!" because it's not. I mean you could, but people will think you're retarded. The shell portion of the Taco Salad's absolutely vital.

and of course chili without beans is chili, that's what chili is. When it contains beans, it's called chili with beans. Unless it was made by an idiot who thinks chili by has beans by default. The asshat who does that is probably same one who make a regular salad with hamburger meat on it and call it a Taco Salad. My Ex boss use to make Quesadillas with no cheese because he hated cheese. He was one of those food asshats.
