Eh, I've never really understood the Chic-Fil-A craze. The food isn't really bad or anything, but it isn't something that I'd go crazy over. If I want chicken, I'd rather just go to Zaxby's instead. The thing is... I'm half-Irish, and I like my potatoes, so if a place has french fries, I will take them into account on whether I'll go back. Frankly, I just don't like waffle fries. Their spacing is highly illogical for providing optimal unneeded carbs. 😛 (In other words, the design means you don't get as many fries per volume as you would with a standard straight cut.)

wow, only an Irishman (or semi-Irishman) would employ such potato-centric scaling. I like it. 😀

They're a different textural experience from typical shoestring fries.
You should judge fries by their merits as food, not through volumetric efficiency :colbert:

Forget Chic-Fil-A, although they do have some good chicken sandwiches, if you have a Bojangles around you, get that instead

😀

danny~!

Honestly, I'd probably be fine with it if their food was better. It isn't bad, but it just doesn't blow me away like other people. I really just need to find my thing at the restaurant... some food item that I like and would order every time. I usually get a chicken wrap, and I just find it okay.

Bojangles is pretty good too. It definitely has a different air about it compared to Chic-Fil-A or Zaxby's. It almost feels like a fast food version of Cracker Barrel... that more down-home, southern cooking style but in fast food.

I like Zaxby's but I pretty much stopped going since they made the purchase of a soft drink mandatory if you want the chicken finger plate. Four finger plate is now $7.49 here before tax but now includes a drink. Before, it was $6.79 just for the plate with no drink. It's cheaper than before if you ordered soda but I always got the free water.

Crinkle fries are the cheapest fries you can buy. That stuff is less than 50 cents a pound at Costco Business Center. Waffle fries are more expensive and upscale. I go by price/value and CFA is the best value.

Who the hell eats chicken wrap at CFA except some weird chicks who want to act like they're eating healthy? Chicken wrap is menu filler item. It's like going to a burger joint and ordering veggie burger. Stop that shit.

Bojangles is like KFC. No one goes there to order chicken sandwich.

One just opened up, and it caused a HUGE traffic jam with everyone trying to get in.
Insane the amount of cars waiting.

No one orders the filet biscuit sandwich at Bojangles? Dude, that is better than anything at Chik Fil A.

Biscuit at Bojangles is good. It's better than CFA biscuit. But people don't really go to Bojangles to eat chicken sandwich. It's afterthought. It's all about the fried chicken at Bojangles. If people cared about good biscuit, Popeyes would go out of business.

I just finished eating CFA sandwich, medium waffle fries, and large frosted strawberry lemonade. Total cost was $8.34 including taxes. You can't beat that for quality/value. The drive through line was like a mile long. I ordered via app, went inside, and got my food in like 30 seconds. I also grabbed like $1 worth of free condiments for use at home.

But... I do eat a chicken sandwich at Bojangles. 😕 ...and the thing is, if I want chicken fingers, I'll just go to Zaxby's... or I'll make my own. I would need to find something unique, which is why I tried the wrap.

But their filet biscuit combo is, probably, their #1 seller. I'm not sure how that translates to people not caring about chicken sandwiches at Bojangles. ....or are we going with biscuit /= sandwich? Now, here we have an interesting philosophical dilemma.

or do you mean in comparison to Chik Fil-A? I guess with CFA, that's all you really think about, unlike Bojangles which has more diverse options.

biscuit /= sandwich. Source: my daughter. She loves CFA sandwich. However, she will not eat the CFA biscuit or any biscuit.

I went to a fairly new CFA place at the new expansion surb earlier today for lunch around noon and that place was packed inside and outside. About 75% full inside and the drive tho line was all around the place. I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich combo and the total price was $7.40 including sale tax.

The chicken was a lot better this time, very spicy and all. I still do not like the potato wedges as I would with curly fries from Arby's.

Overall, I would give my meal a 8/10 score.

Try the milkshakes. It's handspun the old fashioned way. You can pay little more and substitute shake instead of soda with the combos.

I've never tried the CFA biscuit, either (in fact, I never knew they attempted such a thing).

Likewise, I will not try the Bojangles sandwich...because they have the amazing filet biscuit. 😀

The wrap disappoints me every single time. Huge. Expensive. No flavor.

I gave up trying to get a good wrap from CFA.

last time I made a "CFA sucks" post, you fucks had me eat a CFA biscuit sandwich. That's the same shitty CFA patty, with the addition of a shitty CFA biscuit.

My local CFA Dwarf House was like some kind of flagship restaurant. Ridiculous lines inside, gridlock in the parking lot. Employees team up to walk through the drive through and get all the orders and payments out of the way, but they're just too popular.

That's why I started ordering from the app and going to the pickup area inside. That was the perfect solution.

Now they tore it down to rebuild and they're operating a drive-thru only from some kind of portable restaurant run out of shipping containers. I won't be able to use the app for a while.

Not me. I wouldn't do that to you.

Actually, I totally would have, as penance for your blasphemy.
If it had occurred to me.

Were planning on doing a huge meal tomorrow so I was thinking of trying Chick-fil-A tonight since I've never been there.

What are the best things to order there?

Have never been to one either, I drove by one in West Hartford CT recently. 🙂

I will have to see if there is one near Dayton Ohio, as i will be in that area for a visit in 3 weeks.

I would have done that, too, if I had realized that CFA had biscuits. shitty biscuits, especially.
CFA biscuit is not shitty. Chicken biscuit is pretty good. The biscuit chicken meat is the same breast meat as the lunch sandwich, just halved. CFA claims their butter biscuits are baked fresh at each restaurant. I can sort of believe it. It's not good as Bojangles biscuit but miles better than KFC, Popeyes, Church's, etc. I think it's about par with Hardee's biscuit. It's definitely decent. Don't let the haters tell you otherwise. Try it for yourself. You won't be disappointed. And the potato medallion hash browns are good too.
