Polynesian was my go-to until I discovered the CFA sauce. Not sure when they introduced it, but it's clearly the best choice for nuggets and strips. Try it.
Hmm. I need to try CFA sauce. Yesterday I tried the Sriracha and Zesty Buffalo. The Sriracha sauce tasted just like Korean fried chicken sauce. This will save me the hassle of making it in the future. The Zesty Buffalo tasted like wing sauce. I would be happy to put that on smoked or grilled chicken wings.

What is "Chick fil A sauce"? I had not known them to have a sauce of such name. My favorite has always been Polynesian. 🙂

It's a blend of honey mustard, barbecue, and ranch sauce. Basically like honey mustard on crack. It pairs REALLY well with the Chick-fil-a chicken tenders.

Meat should stand on its own. If sauces are required to make the meat palatable then it is best to look elsewhere for sustenance.

^ That first sentence is f'n sig worthy if anything is.
I like their nuggets just fine without sauce, but the sauce is awesome.

That makes no sense. A shake shack burger has a sauce and is amazing. Most authentic good tacos have a sauce and they are amazing. There is a time and a place.

Just saying Shake Shack burger gave me a craving for there amazing double shackburger. It's that good. The blend of beef they chose is just so beefy. When I had a food truck we experimented with various blends of beef with chuck, brisket and sirloin. IT was really delicious but not shake shack level. But it was a fresh custom blend from a local butcher,, so it was top quality. Their chicken shack sandwich is also commendable. Shake shack for life!

Chick Fil A is pretty darn good. Nice and moist chicken. I didn't go there for years due to their politics but figured fuck it, I buy gas at evil oil corporations so who cares anymore. I wouldn't buy any Trump products ever though. Gotta draw the line somewhere at some point. Trump is the line.

How do people go to Chic-fil-a and not know about the namesake sauce?
Because the sauce is later addon and not from Atlanta area. I usually get the sandwiches and not nuggets. I didn't even know you could request nugget sauces with sandwich and fries until I got the CFA app. Now I plan to request different sauces every time I order. I'm going to hoard different sauces and use it for home BBQ.

I think I'm going to run a food truck when I retire. Tesla PowerWall, a line of Instapots & Anovas, the works!

Tell us some stories about yours!

Don't do it. Unless you live in a very high populated area like Manhattan. Or like in San Diego with their perfect weather almost year round. Once the weather gets bad it's all over for you. Nobody comes out. They just disappear. We had a 5 star average on Yelp with 25 reviews. People liked us a lot. But once the weather sucked, they disappeared.. Work in Manhattan and the density of population with help you power through the cold and rainy days. It's a logistical nightmare. You don't have a permanent brick and mortar location so you can't get deliveries. So you gotta spend a whole munch of time shopping for your shit. That's a cost. Time is money. Maybe we did something wrong, it wasn't the food, it had consistent high ratings. It's possible we just weren't smart enough.

The chicken sandwich was freakin good. The fries were okay, could have been more crispy. I was really looking forward to the coleslaw and peach shakes but they don't have coleslaw anymore and the peach shakes are a summer thing I guess.

Still the best chicken sandwich I've ever had aside from home made.
Ask for the fries "well done" next time, they have a button for that.

I know some of the food trucks around here just disappear from November until April.

chicken, get it with cheese

Edit: the peach shake is tasty.

I was reluctantly dragged there by coworkers for lunch a few weeks ago. I was an idiot for not eating there before, the deluxe chicken sandwich is damn good.

Chicken sammich no pickle, add mayo, enjoy. I even put mayo on their waffle fries, they have kickass mayo.

Yes. Well, not on the fries. But yes to the sandwich part. Fuck pickles. Whoever teamed them up with chicken sandwiches needs a good tar and feather session for their blasphemous ways. Pickles should be left to rot on the ground, they would be in a sane world.

Spicy chicken deluxe sandwich with pepper jack.

Love their grilled chicken combos (I get it with cheese). Mmmmmmm! 😀

all you weirdos getting mayo or cheese on fried chicken have no sense of taste and i will never follow your advice for food ever again.

Mayonnaise is God's gift to mankind. A little bit goes a long way.
mayo is why the rest of the world hates us.

Too often, these crappy places treat slaw as a delivery vehicle for mayonnaise. Human society could greatly improve itself form eliminating mayo from the world, entirely...but that's a different story.
preach!

I thought they used breasts, like every other chicken sandwich?
in singapore, mcdonalds' chicken chop sandwich was a whole chicken thigh. so much better than their US dried out chicken boob sandwiches.

wut?
Why the hell would you protest Costco?
pepsi. not only is it pepsi, but though there are 16 fountains, there's only 5 flavors. and all crappy flavors. i imagine that pepsi must make a product that doesn't suck, and with 16 fountains, you'd think costco would have one of them. but, no, just 5 terrible flavors.

dip the fries in the buffalo sauce.

Just order the chicken sandwich combo, their bread and butter.

The new CFA nears by our residency almost always busy. I bet the operator (that's how CFA calls its franchisees) is making good money from that store. Watch out for their "my pleasure" replies whenever you say "thank you".

Yup! One thing is consistent in this world, which is that all CFA employees are freaking awesome people. Granted, it may be entirely fake, but I think they just select employees with that quality.
