i'm not changing my name so some lazy fucks can spare a few seconds trying to figure out how to pronounce it. Besides I have an awesome name so there is no way i'd change it for some easy-to-pronounce anglicized name which has no meaning to me.

Ng? What the hell kind of name is that?
 It's pronounced ing. At least it's not some weird ass eastern euro name.
LOL no kidding, I knew a Polish guy named Grzegorz. I guess "z" is a vowel in Polish?
But seriously? WTF, it's not that hard to learn foreign names. Just takes a little longer. But many Chinese names are shorter than American/Western European names. I don't see a problem as long as they consistently use the same name on all legal documentation. What is this, Ellis Island?

Why does someone voting need to pronounce a name? You check the id, and see if it matches.

You didn't read the article. There was an asian guy complaining because many asians put their non-legal name on their IDs and they would have a hard time registering. The congresswoman rightly said that if they wanted to avoid an issue, change your name!
Or else, put your freaking legal name on the stupid ID.
Another Polish last name, someone I knew throughout school: Czysz.Originally posted by: AstroManLuca
