The 'Republicans' are in favor of the pardon only because they choose to self-identify with the celebrity. Otherwise, he'd be a 'thug' or something similar.

So why are you playing as a "tough on crime" Republican? Seems to be a number of pro-Dem posters dead set against rehabilitation from a guy who could be a poster child for it.

If a 10 year old shoplifts at a store, should the owner opinion mater for a totally unrelated crime years later? No it shouldn't, because the crimes are distinct and not related.

He didn't ask to be pardon for crime against this woman, he asked to be pardoned for a totally unrelated crime. One that she has zero involvement in.

Do we really need two threads on this subject, especially considering that the OP already posted in the other (older) one today? As far as the contention that the victim says he shouldn't be pardoned, who gives a shit? The victim may hold a grudge against Marky Mark for the rest of his life; does that mean society can never forgive his youthful transgression? The victim's feelings on the matter shouldn't be the determining factor in whether or not we're willing to forgive a crime that was committed by a child decades ago.

Better yet, lift restrictions automatically on those who have demonstrated they can stay out of trouble and no one will have to worry about preferential treatment.
