First time saying this but these drivers aren't that great. Haven't had any trouble since Aug. with drivers but I am getting crashes in FO3 with these and the lighting isn't as good with these, HDR or Bloom. Had about three or four crashes in 60 hrs. before these, usually after about 6 hrs of playing, had two with these within 45 minutes each time. Trying 8.12 again hoping it's not some patch related thing.

FYI,

Still haven't had a SINGLE display driver error, driver restart, atimkvdag or whatnot error since installing these drivers. Running FLAWLESS now.

The only thing that doesn't work correctly is auto-detecting my HDTV through HDMI. Currently, I have to go into CCC and change an option, then click OK. The screen flashes then the HDTV is showing content.

If you were like me, it was happening almost daily and it was infurating. Such a relief not to worry that the machine would start flashing and crapping out when I was watching something fullscreen on my second monitor.

I've compared Catalyst 9.1 to 8.10 on my single 4850, and here?s a summary of my findings:
  • There?s a large performance gain in Quake Wars with 8xAA, and Crysis with 4xAA.
  • There?s a small performance gain in Fear and Serious Sam 2 with 8xAA.
  • There?s a large performance loss in Crysis with 0xAA.
  • Forcing 4xAA in the driver actually forces 8xAA in Bioshock.

it's not that large of an increase in Crysis compared to loss with out AA, btw 19fps isn't playable at all, these drivers needs tweaking

Turns out the problems were the overclock. I turned it down to 775MHz on the core and it runs peachy now. The mem is OC'd pretty hard too. All in all, I'm rather impressed. Runs games like a dream at 2560x1600.
