You should hear some of the owners. They actually believe these things are fast. All GM vehicles are slow and boring.

What do you mean by fast? My 85 Vette still tops out at 152 mph.

and to the guy with the 12 second motorcycle, no one does give a shit about that. for comparison sake, you have a SLOW bike because my car would outrun you easily. maybe you could brag if you said you gsxr1000 was fast or something.

I've felt vvti kick in on a lightweight car with 190hp. It comes on at about 6,000 rpms and pulls hard all the way up to redline (about 8,000rpms). Definitely not a gimmick to sell cars.

And if you didn't give a shit, why'd you bother posting?

G35 coupe is plenty fast.

It's certainly not slow, but I sort of consider 5 seconds + to not be 'fast'. There are so many cars that offer 0-60 in the 5 second range, but a whole lot less in the 4 second range, very few in the 3s, and the 2 second range is so rare as to be legendary.

Really? 5 seconds was a super car time 20+ years ago. That is seriously fast...especially for a $30K car.

There are cars ~20k that are that fast so a 30k car that does that isn't anything special.

Fast is fast man. The debate on fast being relative applies to the price as well. You could propel a donkey cart for $15k. I've driven a G35 coupe and I felt giddy every time I stepped on the gas..

...and I don't really care about people that think their car is fast as long as they don't endanger my life trying to show off. I can't stand people trying to race me when I'm on my bikes.

I'm not doubting a litre bike won't walk away from me as long as you can drive it. That's great for you! It's a fucking motorcycle, hope you don't crash :)

Then again, you'd probably be in the high 10's at most stock which wouldn't exactly "pwn all over my face"

It's ok, when you wreck your econobox at 130mph when the brakes fail I'm pretty sure we're gonna end up in the same place.

I used to work with a guy that had an 05 (I think, maybe 06) Cobra in competition orange. It was a nice looking car..

But when you crash your bike into another car at 40 miles per hour...you will be in a very different place than I would when I crash my car into another car at 40 miles per hour.

My vote would be a VW GTI. I love the car...it's fun to drive...but it honestly isn't that fast.

Why would he crash his bike into another car at any speed?

It's kind of hard to crash into cars when they are so far behind you. :D

Both of those riders should really have slowed before they got close to the car. That accident was completely avoidable.

Ouch, that's brutal. I think most motorcyclists know that it's just a matter of time before they get hurt and/or die, though, riding on public roads.

If they ride like a squid, then yeah, it's only a matter of time.

If you ride like you have a target on your bike, then the risk goes down considerably.
