ah, SA, this tells us so much about what you're thinking of when you say "cyclist".

Do you often call 911 when motorists break the law? Such as tailgating, changing lanes without signaling, not stopping completely at a stop sign, or right on red when not allowed? Are you foaming at the mouth yet?

I'm actually sitting here chuckling at the same old crew standing up for the indefensible.

And I've made my opinion very clear, that the vast majority of ciclists think the entire universe revolves directly around their spandex covered buttholes.

Sure I call the police non-emergency number if someone is going 15mph in a 45, intentionally holding up traffic, then use the gore to cut to the front at a red light (or worse run the red light).

Car, ciclist, makes no difference. That type of behaviour is dangerous.

Depends where you live / the route you take. I have been stopped for more than 20-30 mins by cyclists deciding to take up an entire road. It's very rare, but some groups go out of their way to feed fire to the feud.

I finally called the local police and they broke the group up. There are signs on that road plus a nice bike lane on both sides that allow for 3 riders abreast.

They do this up in the moutains where I live, even in blind corners. There have been a couple of serious motorcyclist/ciclist confrontations over ciclists riding 3-4 abreast intentionally holding up traffic.

It's a death wish, I don't understand what these lance armstrong wanna-bes think they're proving with their behaviour.

So you don't call 911? Because you specifically said you would for a cyclist breaking the law, but you use hte non-emergency # for motorists, nice double standard.

Sure, the big difference is 1 in 10 4 wheeled motorists are assholes, 5 in 10 2 wheeled motorists are assholes, and 9 in 10 ciclists are assholes.

Add on top of that the 4 and 2 wheeled motorists pay for the roads while the ciclists are freeloading assholes and it becomes apparent why ciclists are by far the most hated people on roadways.

Considering that 9.65/10 ciclists are also 4 wheeled or 2 wheel motorists, your math fails.

Good luck calling any police number for someone committing a traffic violation that is not also a crime, like DUI or hit and run. No police officer will respond because someone is driving slowly in traffic, or runs a red light, whether they are on a bike, in a car, or riding a burro. I suppose if you lived in a one-horse town they might, but certainly not in any metropolitan area.

When a ciclist is behaving this way it definitely looks like they're high, on drugs, up to no good.

You tell me loverboy... you're the one who's always bringing it up.

I just can't help but to interrupt you ciclist's raging circlejerks. You all get yourselves worked into a sexual frenzy when discussing disrupting traffic and preventing taxpayers from getting to work so they can pay for the roads you do your olympic training on.

I can pretty well guarantee you that serious cyclists pay far more than their share in taxes. I presently own 4 bikes that are worth about $18-20K in aggregate (and actually none of these is the most expensive bike I've ever owned - that one was stolen a few years ago). I didn't pay for them using food stamps . . .

Great, most states charge tax based on value, you should pay more than the kid with a $100 wal-mart bike.

Motorcycles and trailers typically have very little wear on the road, and are certainly less intrusive from a traffic standpoint. Should they not pay taxes?

Like I said, if I even have to tap my brakes, you are an inconvenience. Try to live your life without inconveniencing other people. It will make you a better person, instead of an asshole.

People cause such minor inconveniences for me several times a day. It's nothing to get mad about. Stop blaming other people for your rage issues.

Motorcycles contribute to traffic and pollution. Bicycles have the opposite effect. Personally I am wary of adding taxes, as I am a fiscal conservative, and I can see no principled reason why bicycles should be taxed for road use. You appear to be quite the liberal when it comes to taxation, at least when it comes to this issue.

They know most people are too passive to do anything.

I am a bit of a different kind of beast.

Sadly, I go ape shit crazy more than I care to. Like the dumbass at the hospital that lit a cigarette up and told the little old man/volunteer they would put it out when they were done with it.

They left before security got there, but that cigarette was out.

This is how SA sees the world

(PS From here down is a recycled post from 2012)

It took me a while to find, but I think this clip sums this whole divide.

Repo Man 1984

Fucking trash.

Makes you wonder how much they owe.

Most of them are on the run, don't even use their fucking Social Security numbers.

If there's just some way to find out how much...

the motherfuckers owe, and making them pay.

Jesus Christ, Bud. They're winos.

They don't have any money. You think they'd be bums if they did?

You want out? Do you? No.

What's the matter with you? You don't like your job anymore?

Not happy in your job?

I mean, I feel like we're not communicating anymore.

When we first started out, I thought I could teach you something...

share something with you, for Christ's sake.

Answer me!

I'm picking up the dead wino.

My hands are on his body.

I'm carrying his limp torso to the truck.

He feels like he's only been dead for a little while.

One of my favorite and often quoted movies.

Bad example of an "asshole", as long as the cyclist is doing his/her best to stay out of the way no one should be enraged by having to "tap" your brakes, oh the horror!. A proper example of an "asshole", someone who goes to the store counter with 25-30 lotto tickets and asks the person to run every one through the lotto machine to see if one is a winner, meanwhile people get 8-9 deep in back of this "asshole" waiting to pay for gas, snacks, drinks, ect..

Who's mad? Just pointing out they're all assholes.
