Car Tailgates Cyclist - Car Gets Pulled Over

I'm actually sitting here chuckling at the same old crew standing up for the indefensible.

And I've made my opinion very clear, that the vast majority of ciclists think the entire universe revolves directly around their spandex covered buttholes.


Sure I call the police non-emergency number if someone is going 15mph in a 45, intentionally holding up traffic, then use the gore to cut to the front at a red light (or worse run the red light).

Car, ciclist, makes no difference. That type of behaviour is dangerous.

They do this up in the moutains where I live, even in blind corners. There have been a couple of serious motorcyclist/ciclist confrontations over ciclists riding 3-4 abreast intentionally holding up traffic.

It's a death wish, I don't understand what these lance armstrong wanna-bes think they're proving with their behaviour.

Good luck calling any police number for someone committing a traffic violation that is not also a crime, like DUI or hit and run. No police officer will respond because someone is driving slowly in traffic, or runs a red light, whether they are on a bike, in a car, or riding a burro. I suppose if you lived in a one-horse town they might, but certainly not in any metropolitan area.

I just can't help but to interrupt you ciclist's raging circlejerks. You all get yourselves worked into a sexual frenzy when discussing disrupting traffic and preventing taxpayers from getting to work so they can pay for the roads you do your olympic training on.

I can pretty well guarantee you that serious cyclists pay far more than their share in taxes. I presently own 4 bikes that are worth about $18-20K in aggregate (and actually none of these is the most expensive bike I've ever owned - that one was stolen a few years ago). I didn't pay for them using food stamps . . .

Great, most states charge tax based on value, you should pay more than the kid with a $100 wal-mart bike.

Motorcycles and trailers typically have very little wear on the road, and are certainly less intrusive from a traffic standpoint. Should they not pay taxes?

Motorcycles contribute to traffic and pollution. Bicycles have the opposite effect. Personally I am wary of adding taxes, as I am a fiscal conservative, and I can see no principled reason why bicycles should be taxed for road use. You appear to be quite the liberal when it comes to taxation, at least when it comes to this issue.

They know most people are too passive to do anything.

I am a bit of a different kind of beast.

Sadly, I go ape shit crazy more than I care to. Like the dumbass at the hospital that lit a cigarette up and told the little old man/volunteer they would put it out when they were done with it.

They left before security got there, but that cigarette was out.

Bad example of an "asshole", as long as the cyclist is doing his/her best to stay out of the way no one should be enraged by having to "tap" your brakes, oh the horror!. A proper example of an "asshole", someone who goes to the store counter with 25-30 lotto tickets and asks the person to run every one through the lotto machine to see if one is a winner, meanwhile people get 8-9 deep in back of this "asshole" waiting to pay for gas, snacks, drinks, ect..
