I just heard on the radio 97.1 fm newstalk, there were shots fired in the capital and now the capital is on Lockdown.

Wasnt it already on lockdown due to everything being closed? I heard they couldnt close MT. Vernon as it is privately owned. So they did the most ass-jackery thing they could do and put roadblocks on the public road leading to it.
 
Rand Paul was doing a coffee sit down there earlier. Ted Cruz was also in the area so I'll assume it was a pissed off liberal.

Tell it to Feinstein, I expect a statement condemning assault weapons shortly, regardless of whether they were used or not.

Last I heard one cop was injured. Seriously, having lived just outside DC for about 90% of my life this is not news. It may be some political nut but it's just as likely crime spill-over from the shitty parts of DC.

Well another day, another mass murder. When we finally get to the point of a mass murder EVERY day, then maybe America will admit that it has a problem.

Since mass murders are incredibly rare, it will probably be a long time before we reach your goal.

Sorta' like the push to ban semi-auto rifles, which are almost never used in crimes, instead of pushing to ban pistols, which are almost always the guns used in crimes.

But don't do any deep thinking on the subject.
