aids and pregnancy is no joke.

why take the risk?

We can only hope you stay in your parents basement. The world is much too scary a place to actually visit in person.

The dryer set long enough to completely dry clothes takes care of it.

Just set it to the anti-AIDS cycle. It's right next to sperma-press.

I doubt this is serious, but no you won't get AIDS from washing your clothes after someone who has an infection. The chances of getting AIDS from unprotected sex with someone who has AIDS is something like 1 in every 1,000 occurrences. Go ask a doctor how many times they've heard about a doctor/nurse getting pricked by a needle they just used on their patient or cutting themselves with a used surgical knife or something. I'm not even going to comment on the pregnancy part.

Oh, by the way, you should probably look into how you get E. coli into your system :p

It's actually similar for sperm.

Incorrect, the HIV virus can survive for days even weeks if conditions are optimal outside the body.

Drying the body fluid that the HIV virus is contained in pretty much neutralizes it though, but this still takes minutes or hours and the virus can most likely can be reactivated if put in liquid again, ie., sharing syringes.

And yes, I would.
I live in Chapel Hill, NC. come on over and test me, if you are so doubtful.
are you saying that to make yourself feel better just because you do your laundry very so often in public?
You seem to assume I do my laundry in laundromats. I haven't had to in years. My current apartment has a washer/drier in the apartment, I have been here about six months. My previous place I had been at for a year had the same, and so did the place I was at before that which I was at for about a year.

Take my statement at face value, for it is the *gasp* truth!

I basically said similar a couple posts after that, if you had read that far ;)

Either the OP is way paranoid or this is a parody. I can't decide which.

Absolutely. You should refuse to do your laundry in a public laundromat and DEMAND that your city install private laundry machines in your house/apartment/mental facility...

I am fairly sure the OP is paranoid and ignorant (look it up, it is not an insult) but it could be a parody. Either way, it's a pretty entertaining thread :)

Depends on who you have sex with while you are doing your laundry.

Winnar

From the CDC -
HIV is sensitive to fluctuations in temperature and the presence of oxygen. One place that HIV has been know to survive in is drug injection syringes since these are airtight and often contain blood from the injector.

Results from laboratory studies should not be used to determine specific personal risk of infection because 1) the amount of virus studied is not found in human specimens or anyplace else in nature, and 2) no one has been identified with HIV due to contact with an environmental surface

Lab studies show that 90-99% of incredibly high concentrations of HIV die within hours of being outside the body, even in blood due to drying (and oxidation).

Its also pretty clear that he made up his mind on the subject before posting and nothing was going to change his mind. The value of posting in this thread is only in entertainment value.

YES. People who are saying no are simply being fed the pro-AIDs nonsense in our schools.

How do I know? I GOT THE AIDS DOING LAUNDRY AT A LAUNDROMAT. TWICE.

AIDS dies once it comes into contact with the atmosphere

sperm would die from the extreme temperature of the wash cycle or dry cycle

I remember reading that sperm actually survives much longer than you think.

No and no... HIV/AIDS needs a carrier, like live blood and live semen. Dried blood and semen have a very very low chance of giving you AIDS, but thats if you sit there and lick the dried blood off of whatever its on.
