Lets say a guy that has aids and somehow got his blood stain on his cloths, and you happen to be the next up after him. You happen to have a cut on your body, Is it possible to get aids from him from wearing the cloths you've washed in public from a previous washer load?

and as for the ladies can they get pregnant from wearing their underpants from washing their cloths from a previous load from a guy that had semen in his cloths?

What do you call an idea that doesn't even qualify as an urban myth? Oh yeah, a Solodays post.

how come i get the feeling OP is no longer answering? maybe he finally realized how stupid this is. its like those people you hear about, that pretty much knowingly avoids anyone with aids for the sheer thought of possibly catching it. and the semen thing... wth? if you are still reading this and are that paranoid, heres another thought for you... everywhere and everything outside of your house has the possibility of giving you AIDS! :Q subway car poles? AIDS! doors? AIDS! public restroom? AIDS! the money in your wallet has been through countless hands. AIDS! just in case your sarcasm meter is on the same level as your argument, i am joking... then again maybe you do have these fears after all.

maybe OP needs a few of these. who needs clothes? just where a new one every day.

It's actually similar for sperm.

...except that it's HIV.

AIDS is not a virus......

Is this the state of education in this country? Holy hell. It's *very* difficult to get AIDS without direct blood to blood contact. As far as pregnancy, that's even harder, even if she jams the clothes inside her.

This thread is a big fat fail sandwich.

That's why it ended three days ago, until you brought it back to life.
Thanks.

oh damn...sorry I missed it..

that's what I get for being distracted all day...trying to fight AIDS and such... :(

People actually worry about AIDS in the US still? I have YET to meet or even know someone that knew someone with AIDS in my 22 years on this planet.

but do you know anyone who washes their clothes at public laundromats? that's why.

also, little known fact: back in the early 80's before it was known as aids, and even grid, it was known as plid.

Yep. Oversimplified it for the OP. Even that was not enough, it seems. I don't know what would be, at this point.

There's a fairly high chance that an atom that was part of Hitler's body has also been a part of yours. So not only do you have laundry AIDS, you're an atomic Nazi. Really makes you think...

I'd guess that the washing cycle would be enough to kill any viruses. Too hot, and too many chemicals - that, plus an insufficient virus concentration to be dangerous.

too hot? you probably need boiling water inorder to kill it off, and no one washes their cloths in boiling waters.

but you make some good points.

for $100, would you wash your load after a guy if you knew he had aids?

Bleach is among the most effective ways to kill HIV. We can't use it as a cure because bleach kills us too, but if you wash your laundry with bleach, the combination of bleach and time spent outside a human host will completely remove any chance of contracting HIV. So yes, I would.

You would wash your load after a guy that you absolutely knew had aids for $100?

either im hearing this wrong or you sure have balls.

dude, with all the other pathogens out there AIDS is the least of your worries. HEP-C is far far more contagious than HIV.

you 100% positive about that? ive heard about it, but not too sure.

then how come people get aids from sharing needles if it can't survive outside the body?
The take-away from this thread is, from whom you have heard it, they are not to be used as a source of anything correct. Get new friends or a new group to hang out with.

What if a guy masturbates in the pool, and the chlorine levels are too low, and his sister goes for a swim 30 minutes later? Could she get pregnant?

Chuck Palahniuk suggests that it could happen.
