I know this is an old thread but I wanted to chime in for any future readers...

You would have a claim against her, but you would be hard pressed to find a lawyer to take the case because most folks will probably think you deserved to get slapped for being rude.

To Hank Stout, Esq.,

Since this is your very first post here, and since you have chosen to "necro" an old thread with said post, I have removed the link in your signature to your practice so as to remove any possible perception that you have posted primarily to advertise and promote said practice.

When and if you have proved in your next, say, 25 posts that this perception is false, feel free to then (but only then), reinstate your link.

If not a parody thread, then man the fuck up and forget about this.

What I was thinking.

I guess I can understand the humiliation angle, but to me pressing ahead for real would just make it more humiliating - only with a much larger audience, some of whom will dismiss the justice notion and cut right to why is this guy chuckin his mancard for a shot at winning some sleaze money?

You're not the first guy that's been attacked, then denied the satisfaction of going to war by not enough Y chromosomes being involved. It sucks, but that's life. The best thing you can do is to forget about it, then make a concerted effort in the future to not be a smartass about weight (also, age and hair) with a female you really don't know. You win in the long run, and keep your man card.

And, fat or what?

I would have considered doing it just to challenge the cultural norm that it's okay for a woman to strike a man but not vice-versa (as it seems many in this thread follow). But definitely not for the money. I doubt you'd get very much money if you won anyway. And it'd be an uphill battle, since that big money would be more likely spent on hiring big lawyers. It'd actually be more likely to end up a net loss either way.

she is still in school and the last i saw her on facebook, she's about the same size

i think it doesn't kick in until they graduate and start working

That makes sense I suppose. Stress goes up, funds from mom and dad go down. :)

You would have had to file a police report that day I would think. Also if she is a young fairly pretty white girl from a rich family I don't think this is going to work out for you. If the slap had broke your glasses slicing your cornea or knocked a tooth lose or something you may have had a case. It is a shame that it did not even knock some sense into you.

Edit: Just realized I was coxed into a snafu necro thread.

i was talking to this girl i know who graduated this year. her dad is really rich, got a huge fancy house, and she is telling me about her fancy graduation party and going to college in the fall. she says that shes going to study to be a nurse.

since all nurses eventually get fat, i (jokingly) say "have fun getting fat!" and what does she do? she just hauls off and slaps me! and then walks away.

now ianal but im pretty sure that this is illegal. i know for a fact that if i did it to her i would be thrown in jail. is there any way i can relatiate with a lawsuit or civil charges? i felt and still feel the emotional trauma of this event, everyone at the burger king when this happened probably hates me now. and my cheek still hurts a little where one of her fancy rings scratched it.

like i said her dad is rich and i could really use some help right now.

You couldn't prove it is not a daily occurence with you.
