Rabbits are pests. Cats are beneficial animals that kill rodents... like rabbits.

I'd rather have a rabbit in my yard than someone else's cat that stinks up the place. I had to pluck one with my air rifle.

yip cats are a bigger pest than stray cats. come to my neighborhood and ill show you.

Imagine an area with no cats and I'll show you an area overrun with mice and rats.

In no way, shape or form are cats more of a pest than rodents.

bullsh*t.

Fine. If you wanna know what it's like to be over-run by rats, just ask an Australian.

Your attitude is like saying mosquitoes are better than bats.

Exactly.

I doubt the OP would care if the cat were killing rats...poor bastards just aren't as cute as bunnies

Kid, I've accidentally run over more animals with my lawnmower than that cat will kill in nine lifetimes. Get over it. Besides, it's a fvcking _rabbit_. It's a rodent, the damn things are no better than rats and they multiply like, well, rabbits. It's not like there aren't about a billion more where that came from.

Welcome to the way nature works. If something this stupid bothers you, congratulations, you have a future with the nutcases at PETA.

Git r' done, right bubba?
Bah, I'm as granola as they come and I completely agree with ZV.

"cottontails" are a non-native, invasive species. Like starlings(black birds) and house sparrows......

WTF j00 smokin'?

Lemme tell ya, I've been smokin' the good stuff and I still know that you're wacked out if you think cats are a bigger pest than rats, mice, shrews, voles....

We have half a dozen cats around here, and the rabbits seem to be doing fine....

Have you ever seen a cat try and catch a full grown bunny? It doesen't happen very often. That bunny was most likely sick or weak in some other way.

Just chill. The fact that you would even think about killing the cat for killing a rabbit shows how delusional you've become. :p

without cats our house/ land would be over run with mice and rats
we have plenty of cats. the cats in the house kill lots mice in the house.

but they will not eat them. there to well feed.

Don't whack our cats

ps, we have plenty of bunnies on the property. the cats kill very few adult bunnies, they do get some baby rabbits, good as the bunnies kill all the small trees.

i too have a killer cat, but my f*cking cat brings in the kill through the doggie door and eats the parts under my f*cking bed. i have posted about my cat here before and it was birds, but now since the little bunnies are out, she is getting them too. funny that mine ate the front half too.

my cat is going to my mother-in-laws, i wish i knew somebody that needed an excellent "barn cat" as mine would own the barn. i wouldn't have a problem except she bring them into the home :( i am tired of finding feathers, half eaten baby rabbits and headless birds

um,cats were introduced here from europe.
Cats are the pest.
I keep the stray cat population down to a minimum around my house.
I don't like finding my fish taken out of my pond or my leashed dog getting scratched by these vermin.

If you want to keep a cat as a pet, keep it indoors.

Considering the fact that we have completely killed off nearly all other predators for rodents in all urban, and most rural areas, the addition of cats is a positive one.

Cats have not caused any unbalance, and do a fine job keeping rodent populations in check.

Only a person who has never seen a massive rodent infestation can be spoiled enough to consider cats a "pest."
