You would be surprised.
I met a young man who worked at the mall the other day, he complimented my hair (he said it looked cute), and I turned around and walked towards him and we started talking and have gone on two dates since.
He confided in me he thought I was straight when he said that and was afraid I was going to beat the sh!t out of him right there in the store when I turned around that first time at the mall.
You can never be 100% sure either way.
