But its hard to tell sometimes, I know a few ppl who I thought were gay but they turned out to be straight. And I'm not the only one who thought they were gay. There are also gay guys who I thought were straight.

Although I do recall hearing in the 80s that supposedly if a guy had just his right ear pierced, it meant he was gay. Of course, this was in junior high, when people said a lot of stupid things (like Milli Vanilli rocks!)

That is true to some degree. Alot of gay guys/girls will wear rainbow colored necklaces, bracelets, rings, etc..etc..
It is almost a sure fire sign that they support gays or are gay themselves.

Damn, must have really pissed him off to make him post.

My gaydar is set off pretty regularly. I think for any gays that are close to the center of the spectrum (completely, manly straight on one end, flaming homo on the other end) then gaydar may not be accurate, but anywhere away from the center it's not too hard to tell. False positives are common though with straight guys who aren't concerned about projecting a straight vibe, or are in theatre.
