The user reviews seem to be overwhelmingly negative for COD : Ghosts. Critic reviews are meh, most of them are 7/10. Although i'm sure that more than a fraction of that is blind COD hatred. Personally I like Blops 2 even though the graphics were horrible...

I'll still get ghosts for MP even though i'm sure the tradition of not so great graphics will continue.

When Halo 4 and COD came out last year, Black Ops 2 had a much lower rating than Halo 4.
Although now, Black Ops 2 has managed to hit 4 stars (it was at 3 and a half when I looked compared to 4 and a half for Halo 4) the distribution of ratings for Black Ops 2 has SO MANY 1 star and 2 Star reviews.
In fact, Black Ops 2 has more 3, 2, and 1 star reviews than Halo 4.

I'm not surprised to see Ghosts continue the trend. It seems though that BF4 and Ghosts on Amazon both have low star reviews. Maybe that will change further down the road though as more people get it. Early adopters tend to be the hardcore gamers who are quite critical. Casual crowd really isn't as critical.

There's no mouse sensitivity option?

50 gig install?

Brown washed up textures?

Damn. Infinity Ward should just re brand themselves because there is nothing truly left of them.

They say BOII was better than Ghosts, and I thought BOII was an over compensating POS.

Every time I give the series hope they will return to their roots, they simply take a bad idea and make it worse.

Woah 50 gig install? I thought a 250 GB SSD was a lot.... Wow. I've run out of space so many times though it looks like I need a second one at this rate. I might need one just for Cod Ghosts with all the DLCs.

it's not really 50 GB.

on steam, it shows 26+ GB for Multiplayer and 24+ GB for single player.

But once you start downloading, the Multiplayer is only around 8GB, so really in total it's 32ish GB.

Two quick things to note after my brief hour or so playing the game. 1)The game looks much better than the screenshots. I don't know what is going on with screenshots, but mine are doing the same thing. I took several and when I went to look at them, that was not what I was seeing in game. 2)I was really enjoying the brief time I played in the single player campaign. Not enjoyed single player COD that much in quite a while. It may fizzle as I go, but it was fun thusfar.

Compressed size =/= actual size. Whenever you download a game on Steam, you download a compressed version which then expands to the full version on completion.

TotalBiscuit's WTF is...Call of Duty :Ghosts Multiplayer

Brutal.

Corrections Video Video quality wasnt completely high and some workarounds.

Infinity Ward hates PC gamers.

And this is why I will only buy Treyarch's CoD games from now on. Treyarch actually gives a damn about the PC community. Black Ops II, while nothing amazing, was still at least a proper port. It ran smoothly, had all of the proper settings for graphics and audio, and it even let me play with a proper 90-degree FOV. Infinity Ward doesn't give a shit about any of those things.

Play Black Ops II and Modern Warfare 3 side-by-side on PC, and the difference in quality is like night and day (in my opinion at least).

It's okay though. That's $60 ($120?) that I don't have to spend. Saves me money.

Is the FOV adjustable for PC?

They said no. Neither is mouse sensitivity. Not sure if this was on purpose or they forgot about the PC players who don't have gaming mice. They kind of leaned on this on BOII when tryarch completely removed software mouse support and left it up to windows and mouse drivers to detect your sensitivity. Maybe it was an attempt to try to level the playing field once more though there was nothing I hated more in BOII was the lack of software acceleration and smooth aiming that the previous games had. Now it feels like I either have a paper weight attached to my mouse or the cursor is loser than a glass eye in a Parkinson's patient.

I will fire up the game tonight. Took about 3.5-4 hrs to d/l on a constant 2.8MB/sec connection. Crazy!

Not true, mouse sensitivity is just hidden somewhere stupid according to the angry brit review I watched (it was a correction). It's in the "look" part of the control bindings or something.

This. 250GBs is damn tiny. I've got 2x240GB drives in raid right now and I fill that up with only a handful of games. Most games get installed onto the mechanical drive and MIGHT get moved over to the SSD if I play them often enough.

Is there a steam ID list somewhere? Or create one here for those of us that plays Ghost.

I have some great memories of COD MW --- and terrible COD BO.

I want Ghosts to hurry up and get to $20 -- sounds like the single player campaign is worth that to me.

You'll probably be waiting awhile. Crappy or not, COD games take forever to drop in price.

Unfortuntely true. I would like to pick it up for single player as well, but for sure won't pay full price. It is amazing how long it takes for the price to come down, since the games are not particularly innovative any more.

Black ops 2 is most likely the last COD i ever touch, its been fantastic and fun and it beats the first BO with a ugly stick which was a game i can't even bother with anymore. Will wait for another COD which can somehow magically be a whole new game and use a new updated engine which won't be for a few more years?

I cannot emphasize this enough.

DO NOT PURCHASE THIS GAME.

It is crap right now, worse than a beta. Wait for them to fix it.
